Cassandra | 5832 comments Teresa, it is definitely not too late. I added you to the list!

Madilyn, I'm glad this challenge can help you get through the books on your shelf! I have that problem too.

Jun, did you finish The Scorch Trials already or not yet? I'm not sure whether to count it for your progress or if it's just a note for yourself.

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed my selection for "J" - Wayfaring Stranger by James Lee Burke. This book reminded me of some of my least favorite books from high school English. The irrepressible perfect American male narrator facing down the worst demons in American society. The whole story felt contrived. I did not enjoy this book. 2 stars

Lois | 112 comments Read 4 books to my grandchildren
A-Z CHALLENGE.
Goal: To read 26 Children's books
4/26

M.Tuesday Tucks Me In: The Loyal Bond between a Soldier and his Service Dog / Luis Carlos Montalván
I come from a military family and my grandchildren's father is in the navy. On the one hand, I am not sure this was a good book to read them and on the other hand it was the best book to read them. Either way I had a ton of questions to answer. The illustrations are photography and show the great relationship between Luis and his dog Tuesday.

O.Sparky! / Jenny Offill
Didn't like this book. Can't put my finger on the why - maybe the plot - a bit wishy-washy.

W.The Pigeon Needs a Bath! / Mo Willems
Love the pigeon books. The illustrations as simple but effective and the story is one every child can relate to - No wonder Mo Willems has won so many awards.

Y.What Do You Do with an Idea? / Kobi Yamada
Good book! Wish I had wrote it. The abstract is difficult to put into words but after reading this book a child just might have an inkling about ideas.

My granddaughter is 2 and loves books. She will walk around hugging a book until she finds someone to read it to her or sits in a chair with books on her lap just looking at them. Her Dad got The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory for christmas and she would not give it back to him - just sat hugging it. I think there is a future Goodreader in her.

Review -- I found this book to be slow at the start and pick up pace and plot around midway through. It is part of a book series. I will be looking into the other books.
