Thanks Brenda :-) I'm quite surprised that I got so much reading done during the school holidays, I thought the kids would be driving me crazy. Although I admit I did have to do most of my reading very late at night once I was determined to do the whole challenge and finish it!

Nice work. It's a shame when you get a couple of duds. I didn't like Skipping Christmas when I read it either. I skipped right to the last page and was glad I hadn't read the whole thing.

LOL - I absolutely LOVED it! Is one of a handful of books I re-read and I've watched the movie a zillion times. I guess it is because I SO relate to it - my idea of a great Christmas is no family - just hubby and I locked away from the madding crowd for 24 hours - bliss :)

Carolyn | 9892 comments I've just finished my #9 Historical novel, the wonderful All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I can see why it won last year's GR Best Historical Fiction. Definitely a 5★ for me and the best book I've read this year. Review to follow.

Just one more book to read now, the 1007 page The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. Hopefully I have enough time left to finish it!
