Thanks for the picks Sonja!

June Weddings: The month of June derives its name from Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. It was thought that couples who married in June would be blessed with prosperity and happiness.
🌸Recommend a book that was published in June of any year or is set in the summer, or recommend a book that features gods and goddesses or any other mythical or paranormal beings.
TBR -

NEW -

White Wedding Dress: Prior to 1840, brides didn't wear white dresses, they generally just wore their best dress. When Queen Victoria wore a flowing white gown, it started a trend, with the white color signifying wealth and power. The additional meaning of purity/virginity developed later.
🌸Recommend a book with a wealthy or a virginal MC, or a book with a mostly white cover.
TBR -

NEW -

It's bad luck for the Groom to see the Bride before the wedding: This superstition dates back to the time of arranged marriages, when people believed that if the couple saw each other before the ceremony, it would give them a chance to change their minds and back out of the wedding.
🌸Recommend a book with an arranged marriage or marriage of convenience, or with a "fake" marriage or engagement. Or you can recommend a book with an enemies to lovers or second-chance storyline, or a book with 2 people on the cover.
TBR -

NEW -

Tossing the bouquet: In medieval times it was considered good luck for wedding guests to obtain a piece of the bride's clothing, so the bride would toss a garter to the guests. Over time this evolved to the current custom of the bride throwing her bouquet to predict who will be the next bride, and the garter toss became the groom's duty.
🌸Recommend a book with a character that acts as a matchmaker, or who would be considered a "wallflower", or a book with a cover that has flowers on it or is otherwise colorful.
TBR -

NEW -

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue - These four items all brides are supposed to wear or carry to start their marriage off on the right foot.
Something Old: Represents the ties to the bride’s family and her past.22328546] (enemies to lovers)
🌸Recommend a book that has been on your pickee's shelf for at least a year (or among the oldest if they don't have anything that old), or a book that was published more than 10 years ago, or that is shelved as "historical romance".
TBR -

NEW -

Something New: Represents a life to come with her husband.
🌸Recommend a book that was first published or first added to your pickee's shelves this year, or a book that is shelved "futuristic".
TBR -

NEW -

Something Borrowed: This must be an item from someone who is in a successful marriage to pass on the “good luck.”
🌸Recommend a book that includes a character that is happily married (doesn't have to be the MCs), or a book that was recommended to you in some way (by a friend, in a challenge, GR recommendations, etc.) that you read and enjoyed - pass on the recommendation!
TBR -

NEW -

Something Blue: Stands for faithfulness, loyalty and purity.
🌸Recommend a book with a MC that has a loyal group of family or friends, or a book with something blue on the cover.
TBR -

NEW -

If you need any repicks just let me know I tried to mix up your picks so hope you find something you like.
Happy reading :).

Chaos!
I'm so sorry I haven't gotten a chance to reply! I saw these great picks after you posted them, briefly over the weekend, but it was a hectic holiday weekend and has been a busier week at work! GAH! Why does life get in the way of reading?! LOL
Thank you for these! I'm really excited to get to them and hope I can do your picks better justice than I did Diane's picks for May!
Thank you!!

I have read a couple of things this month, but not nearly as many of your picks as I plan to! First, I was going to read the House on Sugar Plum Lane but then I realized there were others before it in the series, and since I happened to have the first one, Mulberry Park, I went ahead and read it first. It was a great read! Then I continued on with the Sugar Plum one, which was also excellent. So my finished ones are

I have started Miracle

Thank you for such good picks. There are others on the list that I am also planning to read later.

8 1/2 hours to go until the July PIFM closes!! Please stop by the thread and sign up if you would like to participate again....it's going to be a lot of fun!!
2019 July PIFM Challenge

I finished Delirium today and absolutely loved it. I listened to the audiobook and was captured by the story from the first minute! I can't believe this has been sitting on my tbr for 3 years now. Can't wait to continue this series! Thanks for the pick!!!

Finished my first pick and enjoyed it. Thanks!

Yaaay! Way to go, Diane!!

Pathetic!!!

I was able to read 4 of my picks - not entirely in June, but who's counting!
I Want You Back by Lorelei James 5.31.19 - I actually read this in May, I couldn't wait! Loved it!
No Ordinary Billionaire by J.S. Scott 6.13.19 - Was looking for a shorter one to finish before I had surgery and this was a good choice! I'm glad it was picked.
The Devilish Lord Will by Jennifer Ashley 6.30.19 - Love this family and this book!
Lucky Suit by Lauren Blakely 7.1.19 - Really enjoyable, cute story! But I fell asleep listening to it and had to listen to it over again on the first. Didn't mind at all. 😊
