Nice! I’ve got to get this. Sounds like they did a good job.

The animation being a little clunky works in this weird, dream-like environment.
I'm curious if they can clean up/tweak their stuff for something more grounded or a historical.

Oh crap, did I say that out loud? 🙀

a youtube channel i watch has me tracking down a bunch of old tv shows and movies.
plus, with the crazy heat, i don't have the focus for anything too modern.

The Quatermass Experiment aka The Creeping Unknown
Quatermass II aka Enemy From Space
Quatermass and the Pit

Quatermass and the Pit"
Pretty sure I've seen 2 of the 3.
May need to rewatch, just to figure which ones.

The Atomic Submarine
First Man Into Space"
Atomic sub showed up on tubi.
May check it out.
Watching 'Attack of the crab monsters'.
Not bad, but trying too hard to convince us the science is real and really smart and impressive.

Just a big dumb kaiju movie"
You say that like it's a bad thing.
Both Minus one and Secret empire were very entertaining, just telling very different types of stories.
I still need to check out Monarch.

the model work is very Gerry Anderson but the cast is solid enough.
attempts at friction amongst the cast feels forced and clunky, but on one is written to be bad at their jobs.

Two Doctors would have been quite different with Colin Baker and Jon Pertwee.
Wonder who would have been the 3rd Doctor's companion?
The Brigadier would have been cool.

Jodie Whittaker & Mandip Gil return to Doctor Who in all new audio-dramas from Big Finish Productions!

The Eleventh Doctor met Earhart once while relaxing on the International Date Line in the short story Chasing the Dawn by Jenny T Colgan.

She was also the intended companion for the unmade early 1990s Doctor Who feature film from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country co-writer Denny Martin Flinn that was covered in some detail as part of The Nth Doctor.

She's been on my list of potential companions for a long time.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

So, maybe we aren't getting a UNIT series, but a series of mini-series...?
If they all involve UNIT going up against classic monsters, I'd be okay with that.

That'd be cool too.
I really knew nothing past 'Sea devils TV show', so any details are a surprise to me.

Not really.
Catchy title, but vague.
Plus, I stopped listening after 'Sea devils', so wasn't hunting for more details.

Nice, as it gives me a chance to catch up, but at the same time I do miss that releases seem few and far between.

Everything has changed. Literally. Even down to their own terminology. They are calling them “ranges” anymore, but the more conventional “series”, it this has also effected how you make a search on the website. Right now it’s very limited in search parameters and it’s frustrating. The app is affected as well. Customers don’t even have access to all the things they’ve purchased. It’s EXTREMELY frustrating and while they have repeatedly said they are working on it, I fear it could have an impact on their viability in the long run. I think they launched the new website far too early and they preparedness was up to the task when the faults and cracks starting appearing. It’s kind of a disaster.

Wish these weren't so hard to get a hold of, as these are really fun reads.

They sure they don't want to wait a decade, like they did between 1 and 2...?

Not a problem.
Not really a fan of the franchise.

I gotta say, going and checking out the D23 announcements, there's a lot of not terribly impressive stuff going on.
I'm interested in the MCU stuff, but the rest is pretty...meh.

Sorry.
Let me calm down.
Got him to autograph a photo for my son (7 is his favorite Doctor), got a picture together at the Tardis and chatted for a minute.
He is every bit as quirky and charming as you hope he will be.
Such a good time.

I felt crazy awkward/star struck at first and was convinced I was going to sound like an idiot, but got a breather when the guy running his table asked if we wanted an autograph or photo and then Sylvester asked if we wanted a Who picture autographed or a Hobbit one and I was okay.
Had a nice chat and then later went to his Q+A session.

I was terrified when I met Karen Allen (aka Marion Ravenwood) that I’d sound like an idiot. But at one point, when I’d asked a question, she gave me that classic smile and said she loved that question. I don’t recall exactly how I worded it, but it was something along the lines of: What is one of the projects who’ve worked on that you wish more people knew about? I wish I could remember what she replied, but alas it’s escaped me now.

Sylvester was up to play Bilbo in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Shame he didn't get it, but Peter liked him enough to remember him when it was time to make the Hobbit.
RTD mentioned that part of the idea of 'Tales from the Tardis' was it was a good way to get younger fans to learn about the older Doctors and get them used to how they look now, in case he wanted to bring them back for something...
Interesting.

Yeah, watching No. 6 beat up Salamander was pretty wild."
😹😹😹

when he was asked at the Q+A if there were any New monsters/villians he would have liked to encountered, Sylvester McCoy picked the Weeping Angels and Missy...
If anyone from BF is reading this thread.

Anyone else watched it?
3 episodes in, and I don't love it.
Can't hate any show where Brian Blessed shows up as a bad guy, but the very dark tone and slow build aren't hooking me.
Like the cast and I've heard you have to wait until all 7 have joined the ship before the show gets its rhythm.
So, two more to go before I decide.
