I also thought of Four not Three, because there are 4 if us.... hopefully someone else will have an idea

Anyone interest in being Captain? I would rather not this round.

Thanks Marisa. I have used windows for 25 years so no help for a mac. I am at that awkward stage where I don't want to start a book because it is shelf call tomorrow! Hmmm maybe a novella in the meantime? -

Review: After really enjoying the first book, I found this, the second book in the series considerably weaker. It is a very light, easy read. The steampunk fantasy world building seemed to fall away and become quite modern. The plot was hard to follow and the ending was quite abrupt with several loose threads. The witty banter of the first book was missing and became cruel jabs rather than jest. In many respects, it felt like a filler plot, which gave the team of misfits a bonding experience. Unresolved problems from the previous book, although alluded to did not progress further. The character building was the highlight of the book.

Forgotten Sins by Rebecca Zanetti
Read: 9/14/2018
Rating: 3.5 stars
This is a solid romantic suspense novel with a tight plot and nice action. I guess when you have a romance with a military guy as the hero you can sketch in right away a tough, Alpha, no-nonsense guy and that is exactly what Shane is. Shane and Josie got married after knowing each other for three weeks and then two months later he disappeared. Now, two years later, he reappears with (believe it or not) amnesia. Even though Josie has been devastated he immediately starts ordering her around including, of course, telling her they’re getting back together. Josie keeps insisting she can take care of herself and then immediately getting kidnapped. Although, to her credit, she does get out of one jam all by herself. I was caught up from the beginning in wanting to know what was up with Shane and his equally hunky brothers and how they would get out of their desperate situation. The plot and the spare writing were the best parts—the characters are all standard issue. I never could understand what it was about either Shane or Josie that made them so passionately in love with each other.

Review
This is a typlical AManda Quick / JAK book, so if you don't like her books or are not comfortable with typical situations, don't go near it. I
don't think it's one of her more solid work but it's funny and entertaining. I like her stereotypes and I think she includes them all (feel free
to count :D ). Anyway, a good start for a series / world I've enjoyed a lot and, sadly, it looks like it doen't have any other one in the
near future.

Kate Daniels is one of my absolutely favorite series. I re-read all of the Kate Daniels World books and novellas preparing to read this finale. The book had everything I expect from an Andrews novel: strong characters, exciting plot, plenty of action, and that wonderful post-Shift Atlanta world. In addition, it had an adorable and fierce toddler and Kate and Curran as parents. There were also some touching love scenes.
I was, however, frustrated by a couple things. First, including practically every character we’ve grown to love was nice, but doing that and juggling all the subplots made the book choppy in some parts. My main complaint, though, is that the ending was rushed. The big fight scene was handled too quickly and the conclusion of Kate and Roland’s struggle was finished off in three pages. Important deaths, injuries, and major events were accomplished off screen and summarized in a few words. I guess after how much I loved the series I would have liked to linger more over the ending.

Red-Headed Stepchild (#1 Sabina Kane) Jaye Wells
Pages: 325
How it fits: No. 21 SOS Best of: Urban Fantasy List
Review: Sabina is a part vampire/part mage raised to ignore her mage half. Her grandmother, the leader of the vampires sends Sabina on an infiltration assassination mission. She encounters members from the other races and begins to doubt her loyalties and the tenets she has lived by all her life. I came to this series after having devoured Jaye Well’s Prospero’s War series, however it is very obvious from the writing, lack of character depth and illogical plot points that this is a debut novel which lacks the finesse and writing experience developed by the time of the publication of Prospero’s War.

It was disappointing but most series have better ones than others so I will give the next book a go.

I really enjoyed this. It wasn't anything amazing, but I really liked Olivia & Jaxson. The story was simple and quick. There was the typical instant attraction and typical witch vs. shapeshifter. I wish the subplot of the missing shapeshifters was expanded on, but I feel you will get more of that when you continue with the series. Which I'd like to do. :-)
