Which new releases are you most looking forward to?

I'm probably the only one here who can be excited about this, but I just learned that Emmi Itäranta has a new book coming out in September! It's called Kuunpäivän kirjeet (Moonday letters), and so far I only see a Finnish edition, but since she translates her own work, I hope and assume there will also be an English edition? It sounds interesting, definitely scifi with colonies in space, a botanist character, and the blurb also talks about language, so I can't wait to read this!

I plan to read Network Effect by Martha Wells when it is released on May 5, 2020,
The Trouble with Peace by Joe Abercrombie when it is released on 09-15-20,
Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson when it is released on 11-17-20,
and the untitled ninth Expanse book by James S.A. Corey if it is released in 2020.

Just downloaded Aurora Rising :)
I read Aurora Rising a few weeks ago and loved it. Hopefully the bookshop near the farm has Aurora Burning when I go in there later today. And The Girl and the Stars. They probably won’t have Murderbot though.

Lol Leonie. I did pick up Aurora Burning and The Girl and the Stars this afternoon. They didn’t have Network Effect though. I’ll order it when I get back to the Outback maybe.

I didn't know Seanan McGuire is now also a MG author with yet another pen name: Over the Woodward Wall by A. Deborah Baker coming out this fall. It sounds cool, I might check it out :)

I didn't realize The Perfect Assassin trilogy was so close to being finished! I do have the final book on my shelves to keep track, but in my mind it was coming out next year. Yay, I can start it soon.
Sarah Pinsker has a new book coming out next year, We Are Satellites! I haven't read her first novel yet - it wasn't quite my thing even before the pandemic rendered it too relatable - but I love her short fiction and this one sounds interesting.
Remote Control has a cover! I hope this means that the (January 2021) release date is also accurate, this seems to have been pushed further and further for a very long time. I keep seeing it at the top of my new-standalones queue, and then it jumps forward. At one point it had a 2030 release date.
I've stopped reading AdB because for some reason I never fully love her stuff, even when I should. But! I can't stop myself from being excited about Fireheart Tiger, which is described as The Goblin Emperor meets Howl's Moving Castle in a precolonial Vietnamese setting.
I just preordered The Relentless Moon, next in Mary Robinette Kowal's Calculating Stars series. It comes out next month!edit: Anna, I agree Fireheart Tiger looks soooo good!

Is it just me or are these titles getting more obscure? This one sounds like it could use one of those "stranded along the highway" country western laments as background music. Still I'm looking forward to it.
I don't think Becky Chambers will ever be able to publish a book with a normal/short title! Even her upcoming Monk&Robot novellas are titled like that.

I like them too! I just wasn't expecting *all* her books to be titled in this way, I thought it was a Wayfarers thing.

I'm waiting for this release, To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. I haven't read anything by the author but after watching him speak about his writing and his stories, I'm giving him a try.

Aliette de Bodard has a novella coming from Tor.com, Fireheart Tiger. The comps are The Goblin Emperor and Howl's Moving Castle, so I'm especially excited!

Kate Elliot's Unconquerable Sun is out today. Gender-swapped Alexander the Great in Space! I really enjoyed the world Elliot built in Cold Fire (I really need to finish that series) so I am excited to see what she does here.
