:D I have the feeling somewhere in this ancestral line was a typewriter. He writes his novellas/novels faster than I can read them.

I would love to read Dogs of War but it seems I would have to order a book from the UK to do it and every time Gabi points out how good it i,s I mentally fly to Germany and throw something at her.
Now I have another book to do that with.

Oh, I also ticked the boxes on the product page on amazon.com that say: "I'd like to read this book on Kindle".

I should check the availability in US next time. I never think of that when I find something new.

This book One Day All This Will Be Yours is far too expensive on both sites

Same happens in Australia, so many books on goodreads that are "free" or selling for a low price for a special . We dont get them, dammmm

It has telepathic foxes! It just made my first priority list ^_^

Graceling was my favourite in the series, and although the third one disappointed I'm still keen for the new one. Especially now that I know it has telepathic foxes lol

No, I haven't even read the first book. Or watched the show. I've been holding out for the last book :D

No, no! I love the fact that this group is less US centric than many of my other online interactions. I am really hoping his publishers read this thread, get on the ball and get a better U.S. distribution. That can happen right?

plus i have just re read Anita Blake, i wonder if there is any new books in the past few years.

You mean The Empire's Ruin?

Can't wait for this one too!

I don’t quite understand why there’s such a big gap between his 4th and 5th books. His first 4 were in 5 years and then a 2.5 year break? But some people seem to have read drafts of the latest....

I'm not sure why but I am too happy that we finally have a Kettral-focused story so I am willing to wait. It's the best part of the first trilogy.

Come Join Us by the Fire Season 2
Yoon Ha Lee is doing an AMA next Tuesday, when Phoenix Extravagant comes out. There's also a chance to win the book. Details here.

I had read her Of Blood and Honey and And Blue Skies From Pain, both of which I really liked. Unfortunately she never finished the series. I think it had something to do with a change in publishers.

Also, I somehow missed the news about The Genesis of Misery (now with official GR page!), but I am also very very excited about that.

Ooooohh!!

(Sorry, long day, this is amazing news!)
edit: WHAT IT'S ALREADY OUT!!! I thought you meant preorder. OH NO my weekend plans need to be rearranged. Going to buy this immediately.

ooh, thanks for this.

What can you tell us about Go Marching In?
I love two things in this hot and terrible world. One, I love cyberpunk. I always have. And I love cowboy films. I think that cyberpunk, at its heart, is using all of these Old West tropes. I wanted to write my own gunslinger story, but because I never get off my bullsh*t, [I'm writing] lesbian cyberpunk under the sea.
It’s weird thinking that I’m going to head back into dystopia. Cyberpunk is always about a future that’s not going to be here for much longer. Punk is always about, here’s the worst-case scenario, let’s just roll around in it. But in a way, that’s kind of cathartic.
Is "lesbian gunslinger under the sea" the new "lesbian necromancers in space?"
Yeah, absolutely. [The book] isn't simply under the sea, it's about cyberpunk lesbian gunslingers at the end of the world. So I’ve got my heroine, who is a gunslinger retiree in her 40s who is completely done with that sh*t. Because I also love movies where they go to some guy in a cabin living out in the woods, and they’re like, “We need you back!” And he’s like, “No, all that's behind me.”
That never gets to be a woman! Almost never. So I want to do that — dash of cyberpunk, big ol’ glop of cowboy — and I’m really looking forward to writing it.

I'll settle for a bittersweet ending."
Honestly, same. I think that's the most appropriate ending for the series.
