Oh man...I am stuck guys. I am trying to make my way through Malice and Oathbringer. Oathbringer is great, but way to heavy to carry around with me. Malice is becoming painful. The only thing I'm excited for is all the points it will bring the Jaghut Guardians when I finally finish them.

I hated Malice. It took me over a month to read it.

I'm holding out until the end since everyone says it's a slow burn. :)

So Julia asked me about team names and wondered what a "Jaghut Guardian" was and I told her it was a Malazan reference. She then grabbed this:

Doubt she'll make it more than a chapter or two. (I'll take it back before long anyway!)

You're welcome. She did very seriously tell me she was going to really read it as soon as she finished the last book in the series she is currently reading. So we'll see. I'll just be more interested in how she prenounces the character names....

I wish my two daughters who are grown, became readers, funny that my younger daughter teaches first grade, but only spends time on professional texts and children's books.

Everyone has their own interests. I think this is one instance where my daughter takes after her dad though. My wife reads a lot of nonfiction compared to fiction. Always an effort to get her to relax and read something fun. (she's always glad when she actually does take a break!). I'm just waiting to see how my two boys turn out as readers. Not at all expecting Julia 2.0, but I figure they'll at least enjoy it. I know I didn't really become voracious myself till I was older than Julia.

P.S. @Rob, Julia is awesome... I've been hearing about this awesome cool kid for quite a while from my few other friends here:-D

I'm hoping I'll make you proud with my reading whenever I can ability!

You guys aren't as observant as the Tome Faders who picked up on the other change.
