3 books, 14 points and that's my final tally. 1650 points. Not Iain good, but not too shabby.
Nice last minute bombshell Anni!"
Like I said in one thread or another, with next year's point rules, I think most of us would be fighting for ranks in the top 5, with 1700-1800 points... physical readers will earn extra points, and BRs and Challenge books will be worth less bonus points..

Not shabby at all!

Clarify something for me - its only audiobooks that are being devalued, right, not ebooks? Because I mostly read ebooks.

Hmmm... How am I supposed to tell you, without hurting your feelings, that I don't listen to your commands? Sorry Iain π
Dropped in my last one, broke 800 pts., I guess respectable. Unless some remote reason I can read another one in 7.5 hours LOL!!

Incredible total.
Nice Anni.

Fingers crossed into the close.

Yeah just audiobooks I'm sure. You still have to actually read ebooks XD
I'm not gonna read anything else tonight, so i just updated for the final time.Reached 283.6 points in the 3 months that I've been taking part in the competition! I'm pretty happy with my reading :)
Looks like we're going to come in second place. Well done guys π

They changed their minds... audiobooks aren't being penalized anymore... ebooks and physical books are getting bonus points... same difference relatively, but positive reinforcement is better than negative...

Congrats on your great performance all @Jaghut.All the best for next year's drafts, Jenna and Angela.
May I (strategically) point out that Soo can read two books at a time...a mental feat I find difficult to the point of being incomprehensible. Mind, I am the totally sick psycho who used to be able to read vertically down a page and retain almost everything verbatim in my one of my old lives...wondered if I still have this secret (Dakini) skill so I used it (a very little bit, I SWAER I din't cheat or be aggressively competitive) this month to finish lots of books...still a bit rusty..
But aaaaaah with that last long sentence I am starting to be the Party Bore again, with my self-absorbed (but cunningly relevant) info...soooo....moving lightly on...
Well done EVERYBODY, all my amazing friends in this team, and esp this year's dark horse Arkadeb...don't be too hard on yourself, man...you did really great.
I can't even SEE the sheet and I know it...so yous deffo an outlier performance.
*pats Arka on the arm*

Well to all of Jaghut congratulations, You are all great, as well as, everyone else on all the teams, it was quite a competition.
Looking Forward to next year!!
Need to take a bit of a break from Fantasy/Sci-Fi, so many other genres to catch up on, although there are still some BR's I have to do in the next two months.
Congrats to Team Jaghut!I would just like to point out that we came in second while reading the least number of pages! We got 110+ points more than the Blood Eagles while reading 85000 less pages. That is some seriously elite level tactical reading. We utilised the bonus point system to the hilt!
Good luck for the draft, everyone. I will be around the group as I will continue to participate in Buddy Reads. And thank you Zaara for the kind words!
Well, with myself, most of the books that I read, were BR's.A good amount were also challenges.
I thought that was the general idea of the competition, LOL!!
Yeah we all did a ridiculous amount of buddy reads! Team work! :D I'm glad we did this. Everyone has had so much fun participating together and competing! I know it's pushed me beyond my normal reading level.
Great job, team! It was so fun to read with all of you this year. Not sure how next years team will ever live up to the group we had this year; everyone was so encouraging and motivating.
Yay!!! Second!!! We all rocked it this year! I hope we do the same or better next year:):):) Congrats on all of us:):):)
Jenna wrote: "Great job, team! It was so fun to read with all of you this year. Not sure how next years team will ever live up to the group we had this year; everyone was so encouraging and motivating."Why can't we keep the same groups?
I really love my team (even though we've been in last the whole time xD) but I think it'll be fun to get to know new teammates :)
Choko wrote: "Why can't we keep the same groups? "Yeah, what Mayim, Siobhan and Virginie said!
Aaaand because we are so damn awesome, it would be unfair to keep all the awesomeness for us again ;)
Choko wrote: "Why can't we keep the same groups?"
As sad as it is to break up this fantastic group, there are a couple reasons, most of them mentioned by others.
-new people participating and some people leaving
-make a closer competition by balancing out people who read more/less
-avoid making any cliques
-avoid making the other groups jealous of our awesomeness

I feel so empty having just finished my audio book without immediately entering it into my spreadsheet for points!!
Virginie wrote: "(I'm still updating my spreadsheet. No way I'm letting go of my little empire)"I think Julia has finished at least 6 books since we've finished. She keeps giving them to me to add or I'm tempted to add, but haven't. Might be a good idea just to track the challenges. I told her to save some books for next year.
Siobhan wrote: "Haha XD can we all do that if we want to, do you think?"Sure. I can just make the final tallies reflect 10/31 only totals as far as points go. or even better, don't put a date on it in the originnal date column.
I 'froze' my score at the end of the competition: copy -> paste only value. That way, you can still get monthly stats and such if you want to track your reading habits :)
And also let us not forget our gal Siobhan who helped everyone behind the scenes and quietly updated Khushi's spreadsheet almost all thru the times. HUZZAH!
Did you see the Dragon Reading a Book spoiler, Siobhan? It was for all of Team Jaghut but I left it directly below a comment I addressed to @Arka so I dunno if you opende it.
But here is one just for my Stormlight Archives Reading Buddy.

So much for stopping last week, like I told you to ;)
I read so much I lose track of how much I've read... I didn't realize until a few days ago I'd passed 300 books for the year... then you see Julia on book 450 or something crazy...
