So guys, I had turned up the pressure over the last few days, my aim was a book a day till the 31st. Unfortunately I seem to have burnt out. I was hoping for 3 books over the last 2 days but I will be lucky if I even manage one.

Lets hope what we have is enough to get us second. Beware Iain he has to have a bunch of books ready to add.

Oh Arkadeb, you did an amazing job! Don't force youself to read, it's a fun challenge after all. I think we can make it! Yea... I thought so, too... otherwise everyone might want to go back and remove any books they started before 12am PST on New Years (I started a book around midnight CST, which is 10pm PST. from what I remember)... that's 8-10am in most of Europe... late afternoon in Asia and Australia... basically all of New Years discounted...

Unless I find out that was an official mod ruling, I changed that line in the spreadsheet to local... it had a question mark anyway...

It's all running on the honor system anyway, no rewards... and I think the placements are locked at this point, anyway... unless someone has been holding back on updating their sheet, each group is over 150 points apart... that's 10 points per group member in 12hrs to change anything (more since no group is going to go unchanged, I doubt)

I'm kinda just coasting to the finish line, myself... I read The Silver Chair today for 4.4 points, and that's it... a bit more Wayfarers #3... gonna move on to The Late Show instead of any planned book, I think... 2005.8 points is nothing to sneeze about... managed my 2nd highest month by pagecount (first being January... I started strong)
