Wow, you've been seeing that doctor a long time! Hope you end up liking the new one ok!

That's so frustrating Laura! I hope your new boss quits or leaves or has a change of heart!

I like the original Jumanji & Zathura movies, though I haven't seen the new ones.

I was supposed to be driving to Arizona today, but the trip has been postponed another week because my nephew Dylan has a cold. So Ron & I are just relaxing here and enjoying what feels like a rare non-rainy night in California.
We got some Gin & Tonic cupcakes today from the shop that had Guness cupcakes on St. Patrick's Day. Very tasty, almost too good! Lately I've been downing far too many cupcakes! :)

Your bakery seems to have an alcoholic theme!"
Lately, it seems so! Or maybe that has to do with the ones I am choosing, ha ha. Oh my, those gin and tonic cupcakes were so good!
As far as what I want, there definitely could never be too many of anything sweet and tasty! Though, I'm not sure my doctor would agree. :)

Definitely! You too Ruth!
Does anyone have any interesting Easter plans? We're keeping it simlle this year - just cooking a dinner with Ron's family. Or maybe I should say heating, ha ha, as most of it was purchased pre-made. :)

Ha ha Ruth, well, I guess sometimes when I'm tired, sleep is the absolute best thing, better than anything else! :)

This month the Municipality of Perugia for which I work has started again some days in smart working that, considering the atmosphere in my office, is a real breath of fresh air!!!

LibraryThing and Goodreads are both popular websites designed for book lovers to organize, track, and share their reading experiences. However, there are some differences between the two platforms.
LibraryThing is a book cataloging website that allows users to create a virtual library of their book collection. It offers a range of features, such as the ability to add books via ISBN, manually, or by scanning barcodes, organizing books into collections and tags, and connecting with other users who share similar interests. LibraryThing also provides book recommendations based on the user's reading history and offers a range of book-related discussions and forums.
Goodreads, on the other hand, is a social networking site that connects users with other readers and authors. It allows users to create virtual bookshelves, rate and review books, and share their reading progress with friends. Goodreads also offers personalized book recommendations based on the user's reading history and provides a platform for book-related discussions and groups.
In terms of user interface, LibraryThing has a more traditional and straightforward design, while Goodreads has a more modern and visually appealing interface. Goodreads also has a much larger user base, making it easier to connect with other readers and discover new books.
Overall, both LibraryThing and Goodreads are great platforms for book lovers looking to organize their reading habits and connect with other readers. The choice between the two ultimately comes down to personal preference and which features are most important to the user.

Why does it have to be a choice? I use both quite happily. I keep track of what I've read and what I want to read on Goodreads. I use LibraryThing to keep track of the books I own. Well, theoretically, because I've only put a small fraction of my books on LibraryThing. I enjoy the book group communities on both platforms.

On the 24 of May, 1945. Indicted for treason in 1943 for his support of Fascist Italy, Ezra Pound turned himself in to American authorities after the Italian surrender and on this day was driven to a makeshift prison camp in Pisa, where, for three weeks, he was held in an open cage of steel mesh before being moved to a nearby tent. Having called Hitler “a Jeanne d’Arc, a saint” after his arrest, Pound was hardly repentant, but in his captivity he wrote—first on a sheet of toilet paper in his cage and then on a typewriter he was granted as a privilege—what became known as the Pisan Cantos, ten new sections in his ongoing poetic project that reflect on his imprisonment and the lost poetic friends of his past and that contain some of his most lyrical passages, particularly the promise that “What thou lovest well remains, / the rest is dross.”

The Cantos of Ezra Pound

I feel that way too Steve. His poetry has so much subtlety of thought, and it's hard for me to understand how he could believe things that seem so contrary to that complexity.
But I guess sometimes people have drives and obsessions that compel them and almost exist outside of the logical mind? Even very intelligent people often believe mutually incompatible things. Human beings are often wonderful but also often completely baffling!
