The aim of this challenge is to broaden your reading horizons by introducing you to authors you may not have tried before, but hopefully will enjoy.

How it works: Pick one of your favourite authors and read one of their books to start your chain. Next, enter the author into The Literature Map. This will bring up a list of similar authors. The closer to the centre of the "map" they are, the closer their style will be to your original author. Choose an author from the map, then read a book by that author. To make the next link revisit the map, enter your second author, choose an author close to them and read one of their books. Continue the chain in this way until you reach your goal.

I don't know if I'm going to continue with this challenge...the maps just aren't working for me. The authors must write two types of books (contemporary and historical romance) and I like contemporary yet all of the close authors are historical (or paranormal if I try a different set of authors)...I tried to map it out different ways and I think I only end up with only three or four authors that are actually new to me and match the style I prefer. :-( I should probably just open my mind and try the different genre, but I was looking to find new contemporary romance writers and this isn't really working.
