Thanks for you question.

Nope. I don't write from Søren's POV and that's always been a deliberate choice. I could possibly write from his POV as a young teenager or a child, but when he's a full-grown adult? No, absolutely not. Writing from his POV would diminish him. He is based on God, after all, and I'm not the person to attempt to write from God's POV. It's better to keep the deep thoughts of a character like Søren a mystery. Plus if I get in his head, I might never get out again.(less)

Hi Dawn,
Thank you for your question. You're really paying me a compliment by saying the story doesn't feel settled yet. I feel the same way about all my favorite books. The characters are so real to me that they never seem frozen in time. No matter how many books Derek Raymond wrote about his Factory series detective, I would never feel like his stories were over because he's flesh and blood to me.
I never want the books to feel settled. Nora isn't the sort of woman who settles and is just "done." Life is a journey and people who are truly alive are always on the move, always journeying, always changing. So no, there will never be closure. The only real closure is death and I would never kill off my characters. Closure is anathema to a woman like Nora. I have an entire Original Sinners book written in my head and it ends with everything once again changing for the Unholy Trinity. Life goes on and the one constant in life is change. So no, the characters don't feel settled for me. They aren't supposed to feel settled. Nora would never let me settle things for her. She wouldn't allow it.

Yours,
Tiffany (less)

Well, it was short. I can give it that.
Tiffany Reisz is on page 65 of 162 of I Await the Devil's Coming: The title might be the only impressive thing about this book. A memoir from a 19 year old woman in Butte Montana in 1902. I wouldn't be a teenager again for all the money in the world. If this gal had had social media in her day, she would have been an Instagram poet. A bad one.

Divya Mondal Thanks so much Ms. Reisz for accepting my request! Your books mean a lot to me and I absolutely love them. They have strengthened my belief in God and I wish you never stop writing such amazing books...Ernest Hemmingway had said, "When writing a novel a writer should create living people; people, not characters. A character is a caricature." I think you have created the most beautiful and amazing people through your novels and their flaws only make them more irresistible!

Juanita Herrera I started to read The King and I'm really upset because I have fallen in love with it already and I know The Virgin will not come out until April! This book is what I was waiting for, to further get to know Kingsley and his relationship with Soren. I almost don't want to finish the book because it will only leave me craving the next!
