option 1, debut book: Chemistry by Weike Wang a new-to-me author, 224 pages
From the publisher: Three years into her graduate studies at a demanding Boston university, the unnamed narrator of this nimbly wry, concise debut finds her one-time love for chemistry is more hypothesis than reality.

option 2, #1 in a new-to-me series: Athenian Blues by Pol Koutsakis (Στράτος Γαζής / Stratos Gazis #1), 278 pages. This series is new-to-me.
224 + 278 = 502

Choose an option.

I chose option 2 as the author of the book I read met both requirements for the first and the last name, as described below:

Book 1: Read a book written by an author whose FIRST name as it appears on Goodreads begins with a letter that appears on this list of the most common initial letters in first names in English: J, M, R, A, D, C.

Book 2: Read a book written by an author whose LAST name as it appears on Goodreads begins with a letter that appears on this list of the most common initial letters in last names in English: R, M, W, B, C, S.

I read Tell the Wolves I'm Home. The author is Carol Rifka Brunt.

Help Thread
Didn't quite finish last time? Read a book that fits one of the Spring 2017 5, 10 or 15 point tasks. You may not use Task 5.4 or 5.10. You may use a single book A or B option from tasks 15.1-15.4.
Required: When you post, indicate which Spring 2017 task you are using and include any information required by the task.

I did task 5.3 from the Spring tasks, read a book that has a 2 in the number in the series.

I read China Rich Girlfriend. This book is #2 in the series.

Cindie | 1836 comments Task 30.10 - Andy P's Task: Calendar Boy

Book 1. Read a book written by a single author whose initials can be found in Either the word AUGUST OR in the word BONUS, NOT a combination of both words. ALL initials count so if an author writes under initials plus last name, all THREE initials must be found in the target word.

I read Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders, whose initials are in the word August. This book has 343 pp.

Book 2. Calendar Boy Sammy is a Miniature Poodle who is very smart but like many poodles he has little interest in learning a new skill unless it is fun.. So, read a book whose title(subtitles are excluded) contains ALL the letters in the word PARTY
I read The DASH Diet Younger You: Shed 20 Years--and Pounds--in Just 10 Weeks, which contains the letters for PARTY.
This book has 272 pp.

together these books have 615 pp, more than 500.
