London blushed further. "Really?" She asked, looking at Max shyly. She had no experience with boys, so she would like who ever liked her.Max grinned and nodded. "You're beautiful."
Lexi smiled. "That is so great! I am so happy for you." She bit her lip. "Dem missed his first day of school..."
James grinned a little and was glad that his best friend liked his sister, he just didn't understand that Kaylee really liked him!Mae shrugged "I'm sure that's ok, he needed to sleep after staying up so long right?"
London blushed beet red. "Thank you." Then she grinned at James and whispered to him. "You've got some attention too you know."Lexi nodded and relaxed a bit. "I guess so." She agreed. "We were going to get Torch to heal me so I could go home."
James smiled a little at Kaylee bash fully and Kaylee looked up and smiled "I think you are really cute James!"Mae smiled "that's a good idea, he's just home waiting for the kids to be done with school!"
Max smiled at London. "I forgot my coat in the hall, and its almost recess, want to come get it with me?"London smiled and nodded, walking into the hall with him.
Max smiled and her and quickly kissed her cheek, befere pulling back and blushing.
Lexi smiled sympathetically at her. "Well we'll go visit him then, and tell him to get his sorry butt over here to visit you." She said, smiling.
James and Kaylee shared her cupcake, he didn't really get what liking someone was all about, he wasn't twitterpated like Max! He liked being with Kaylee though she was nice and feminine.Mae laughed "he has been, there is just a lot to do and a lot to focus on!"
London blushed profusely. She, like James, had no idea what being with a boy was like, nor how easy it is to get a heart broken, especially by a kindergarten boy who is attracted to shiny new things. But she hugged him anyways, and walked back into the classroom holding hands with him.Lexi shrugged. "Well you saved him from a scolding this time." She smiled at Mae and squeezed her hand. "So great to see you again, and we better let you rest. Damon? Carry me home?"
James frowned seeing them hold hands, he instantly got protective and worried about his sister. "Recess time! Let's go play soccer! Girls against boys!" Anything to get Max to stop touching London.Mae smiled and pecked her cheek "love you, I'm so glad to meet sweet Taylor!" Damon nodded and lifted her in his strong arms as he flew back to Torch's place.
All the kids screamed and ran outside, getting organized into teams. When Max got the ball, he pretended to lose it so London could bring it up. London grinned and flushed when he started cheering for her. She shot on net and missed, but she had never felt better about doing something.Lexi smiled and waved at her as they left, before leaning into Damon for the ride. "See?" She said. "You're not lazy if you can carry a fat woman like me around!" She grinned at him, looking around as they landed. "Torch!" She shouted. "We need you!"
Torch walked up and smiled. "You were at the hospital?" He asked, surveying her gown. "Is the baby alright?"
James cheered on his sister as well, it was nice to see her so confident and smiling more often. He made a goal and felt good when Kaylee cheered and kissed his cheek. Who knew school could be so fun?Damon smiled "Taylor Rose is doing perfect...we were hoping you'd heal Lex so that we could leave sooner!"
The bell rang then, signifying the end of the day. London let out a regretful sigh and left the soccer field with Max to collect her stuff. "I had so much fun." She said to Max. "Will I see you guess again tomorrow?"Max smiled and held her hand again. "Of course!" He said.
Torch smiled. "Im so happy for you guys! I was just about to pick up the kids, they only have a half day in kindergarten, but I can definitely heal Lexi." He assured. He took her hand in his and closed his eyes, consentrating.
Lexi immediately sighed in releif, hopping down from Damon's arms. "Thanks a bunch!" She said, stretching. She looked like she did before she was pregnant now.
James grinned "I invited Max to check out our treehouse Loo! I'm sure it'd be fine with dad to have your boyfriend over!" He smiled at Kaylee "you can come to?" Kaylee sighed "I've got ballet or else I would!"Damon hugged her and kissed her neck "My Lexi is back!"
London lit up. "Great! Then you can meet thenrest of our family." She said brightly. "Kaylee, you can come next time!"Torch rolled his eyes and looked away. "Get a room." He walked outside and got in the car, driving to the school.
Lexi smiled and hugged him. Her white wings folded out and streched. "Man i've been longing to hug you properly, and fly again!" She kissed his cheek. "Its good to have my body back! But we better get this little missy home." She said, smiling down at Taylor.
Kaylee nodded and smiled as her nanny picked her up "see you tomorrow!"James smiled and nodded "except mom and Zach they are still in the hospital...but Demetri is cool you'll like him!"
Damon nodded and carried his precious little girl as they flew home "I better pick up Dem from Luk's again."
London waved and then smiled at Max. "Yeah. He's nice. And our Dad is super cool."Torch drove up then and smiled at them. "Who's this?" He asked politely, meaning Max.
Lexi nodded in agreement as they flew side by side. "Alright. Ill get Taylor situated in her crib while you do that. Ill probably have to feed her as well." She mused as they arrived back at their house.
James grinned "Loo's boyfriend and my best friend Max!" He piled into the car bouncing on the seat "how's mommy?"Damon nodded and pecked her cheek before heading down to hell and to Lukas' place, he blinked seeing Anne there. "My lady what a surprise..."
Torch frowned a little at the word boyfriend, but he figured they were just playing around, so he ignored it. "Moms doing well." He said, starting the car to drive them all home. "How was school?"London smiled. "It was great!"
Lukas smiled and interrupted for Anne, who, for once in her life, looked too embarrassed for words. "She was helping care for Dem." He expained, which if course, was only half the truth.
Lexi went upstairs and changed Taylor's diaper, before sitting down on their bed and starting to feed her. She felt a strange tingling in the air then, amd then her world spun.
Lexi and Taylor disappeared from the room without a trace. Where they had been taken had careful sheilds around it, so the girls couldnt be detected. A note was left in their place.
Bring your son to the park tonight, and we'll give back your daughter.
James nodded "yeah it was fun! Boring though...everything they were teaching you already taught me and Loo!" He complained.Damon nodded "right...where is that son of mine?"
Torch smile grew grim. He figured the kids would be ahead of the class, but not that ahead. They might run into some issues because of that. He wasnt going to talk to them now however, when there was another kid in the car. "Well im glad you all had a good first day. We're here!" He pulled up at the house.Anne finally gathered her wits and said. "He's in the kitchen stealing my cookies I beleive." She smiled. "Let me grab him."
Dem was led out a couple seconds later, looking rather guilty, his face and hands covered in crumbs.
James hopped out and started to climb the tree to get to the treehouse "it's finished!" He screamed excitedly from the top balcony.Damon chuckled and shook his head "Dem...why did you get caught?"
Torch shook his head, chuckling, and let them play.London and Max both grinned excitedly, starting to climb up after him. "What does it look like?" London asked.
Dem looked up at him sheepishly. "Sorry Dad. I didnt fly away fast enough. They were just too tempting!"
James opened up the windows and grinned sitting at the table "exactly how we wanted it to!"Damon chuckled and nodded "understood but as a demon and my son you can not get caught!"
London reached the top and gasped. "Its amazing!" She said, looking around.Max stared. "You guys built this!?"
Demetri scuffed his toe in the dirt. "Sorry Dad." He said softly, looking up at him with sad eyes. "Ill try better next time!"
Anne laughed. "Oh no you wont! There wont be a next time!" She shook her hands at them both. "Shoo! Away you rascals! "
James grinned "my dad did! But we designed it!" He opened the wood chest already seeing their toys.Damon scooped him up and kissed his cheek "I love you, I could never be disappointed in you..." He waved goodbye to Lukas and Anne. "Don't fall in love!" He called out mockingly
Max shook his head. "Your dad is awesome."London nodded proudly and looked at the tables and chairs, and the windows. "I could spend my whole life up here.!"
Dem smiled and hugged him. "Thanks Dad."
Lukas just grinned and waved, shaking his head.
James nodded and grinned "yeah we are pretty lucky to have a demon for a dad!" He hadn't realized he said anything until he saw the look on his face.Damon took Demetri home and went in the bedroom to check on Lexi, what he found though boiled his blood he sent a notice to Tirch 'emergency. Now!'
Max paled. "What!?" He asked. " a d-demon!?" He looked scared out of his wits.London bit her lip. "No... James was just joking..."
Torch jolted from his chair in surprise, and then frowned in worry. "Im going to go for a bit." He said to his kids. "Stay here." And with that, he flew to Damon's house. "What is it?" He asked him, worried.
James bit at his lip "yeah a joke! Making sure you were listening!" But it kind of made him sad that he got all scared, what would he do if he knew the truth?!Damon handed the note to him wordlessly "I can't feel any energy track on either of them..."
Max sighed and relaxed. "Whew. Because demons are supposed to be the scariest things on earth." He said, relaxing a bit.Torch read the note and his face darkened. "Strange. Any idea who would do it?" He asked. Then he thought. "Our best bet might be just to go to the park, and at least see who they are. Then maybe they'll hint at where they're keeping them."
James frowned a little "I bet there are really nice demons, that act like me and you!" Damon frowned "why do they want Demetri though?...I can't risk losing my son either!"
Max rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. They're the bad guys! The angels are the nice ones."Torch shrugged. "He is the most powerful demon since you." He said seriously. "That might be the reason. But you dont have to bring him. Regardless of what you decide, we should head to the park as soon as possible."
James glanced at London a little frown on his face as he just nodded, it was easier having Demetri as a best friend he didn't have to hide such a huge secret! Damon nodded and hugged Demetri "you are going to stay with James and London for awhile alright?"
London bit her lip. Why couldnt they just tell him about being a demon.Dem smiled. "Alright! Can I fly there now?" He asked, excited. He didnt realize the situation at all.
Torch nodded, smiling. "Go on. London and James will be there waiting."
Dem grinned and took off just as Torch spread his large leathery wings. "Ready to go?" He asked, looking to Damo .
James looked up and saw Demetri fly in...so did Max unfortunately. How were they going to explain this "hey Dem this is Max, Loo's boyfriend."Damon nodded and took off revenge started to curdle in his heart. He landed and looked around "where are you creeps?..."
Dem smiled at Max and reached out to shake his hand. "Hey!" He said, smiling.Max stared. "What are you?" He asked ina whisper.
"Right here." Came a voice that didnt seem to belong to anyone. "Where is your son? We can not give your daughter back without getting something in return."
James sighed and showed his own wings "we are all demons...we aren't evil and we aren't going to hurt you..."Damon growled "what do you want him for? Take me...and let my wife and daughter go!"
Max just stared for a moment, as if thinking it over. "Real demons?" He asked, staring at the wings. He wanted to reach out and touch them."His power of course." The voice chuckled. "Getting your wife back is not an option im afraid. She's already been sold. But we can negotiate about your daughter."
James slowly nodded and spread out his wings so Max could touch then "you can't tell anyone though...we have a bad enough reputation."Damon felt his anger boil to a very dangerous point "you better hope I never find you! Or I will unleash my son's power against you!"
Max gingerly touched one of his wings, and gasped. It was real! He gulped. "I wont tell." He promised. "Demons...." he breathed incredulously.The voice laughed this time. "Well isnt this adorable. You're threatening me with your child's powers that you cant even control. Now that is sad. Look at what you've become Damon. A worthless, weak, fallen angel. A mutt. You cant make any threats. Good luck getting either of the girls."
James nodded and sighed "we still are friends right?" He asked worriedly but mostly worried about London's heart getting broken.Damon felt this impending darkness attack, all of his negative beliefs filtered in and he clenched his head not knowing how to get his girls back...he was worthless now...
Max nodded and smiled weakly. "Yeah. We're still friends." Then he turned to London. "But London... im not sure if im ready to be with a... demon yet... I hope you understand." London paled, but she nodded slowly, looking at the ground.
Torch came up and squeezed his shoulder. "Dont let him get to you. Thats what they want. You're not worthless. Dont listen to that. In fact, you probably mean the world to your whole family, so you cant give up on finding them yet."
James felt a spark of anger and held his sister "if you don't like my sister then you don't like me!" He said frustrated and took her hand "she's more of an angel then a pure blood angel could be..."Damon shook his head "how?! I don't even know where to start? They sold Lexi! I don't even know what services she would provide!" He shouted his hands clenching.
Max bit his lip. "Im sorry." He raised his hands in the air. "Im just a little weirded out right now, is all. I dont think im ready to wrap my mind around it all..."London hugged James and hid her face against him as the tears started to fall slowly.
Torch's face was grim. He didnt like to think about Lexi, worried of what type of owner she could have right now, what she could be made to do. "We can only try Damon." He said softly.
The voice came on again. "If you really want her that bad, I'm sure you could try to buy her off her master. He may be reasonable with pricing." There was a soft chuckle. "His name is Zeke Wanowsky."
James held her close and rubbed her back "I think you should go home Max..." He said quietly hating that he made his sister cry.Damon's face went purple with rage "I know exactly who he is..." He spread out his wings and flew to the forbidding mansion.
Max looked down and nodded slowly. "Sorry." Was all he whispered before he climbed down the ladder and left.London hugged James tightly and cried.
Torch flew after Damon as quickly as he could in case his friend needed back up, however, in the state he was in, torch figured it would be best to stay quiet.
James slowly let go of her when she calmed down and decided to get some snacks, that might cheer up the mood. He tried to go down the ladder but his foot got caught and he landed hard at the bottom going unconscious.Damon made it inside and grabbed the collard creep angrily his eyes flashing "what do you want with her?! You scum of the earth!" His powers were going out of control and the guy started melting like wax.
London shrieked when she heard a thud and she flew down to him. "James!" She cried, shaking him. "James! Please dont be dead!"Zeke held his hands up in surrender, stunned. "Whoa... chillax! Who are you talking about?" Zeke had many slaves at once, which wasnt uncommon. He honestly didnt know who Damon wanted.
James still had a pulse but his breathing was irregular, he didn't respond to London's shaking or screaming.Damon continued to glare death rays at Zeke "Lexi...redhead. Let her go or I'll turn this whole place into molten lava!
London stared at him through her tears. "James..." she whimpered, and hugged him, sobbing.Zeke nodded slowly. "Mmm. Right. Sure. You can have her. Im done with her. She broke to quickly for my taste." He shook his head slowly. "Go outside and ill send her out to you. I dont want you in my house anymore."
Mae smiled "hope so...he has to gain some more weight...but I'm hopeful! The kids went to school today."
