London nodded slowly. "I hope so." She said softly.Dem looked up from the book he was reading and grinned. "Can I?"
((So sorry! I didn't see this :/))James helped her out of the car and waved to Torch "bye dad!" They went inside and James found a cubby for them to share.
Damon smiled and nodded "yep, mom's recovering and the doctors are letting us be..." He led him into the room and lifted him on the bed so he could see.
((Np . Happens to me all the time :P ))London followed him in, trailing behind him like a shadow as Torch drove back home. She put her backpack in the cubby they were sharing and glanced nervously into the classroom.
Dem nodded and eagerly followed, his eyes lighting up when he saw her. "But shes so tiny!" He said, amazed.
Lexi laughed softly. "Makes it easier that way."
James frowned not seeing Demetri anywhere! He held onto London's hand and sat down at the table the nice lady directed to. He looked around and saw books and games, he pointed to the doll house for London since she liked that stuff.Damon chuckled and carefully helped Demetri hold her "mind her head...she's very fragile." He loved the way Dem's face lit up though when he saw her.
London gripped James's hand, staring at all the other kids in fear. She spotted the doll house and smiled a little. Well that looked fun to play with.Lexi watched, a bright smile on her face as her husband and son held her daughter. It was a sight that warmed her heart.
Dem gingerly took taylor when she was handed to him and he held her as if she was a baby bird. He smiled at her. "Hi baby. Im your brother." He whispered.
James frowned worriedly and a girl with very curly almost frizzy blonde hair smiled and sat by London "hi! I'm Kaylee what's your name?"Damon smiled at Lexi and stroke her IV covered hand it was truly amazing being part of this. He now understood what Torch was talking about! He handed Demetri the blanket and little hat to put on her head so he could feel like he was a big help.
London lookes at the girl shyly, amd answered. "Im London." In a soft, almost hesitant voice.Dem smiled and carefully put the hat on his sister. "There, see?" He said, wrapping the blanket gently around her, even though he really had no idea how to do it. "Ill take care of you."
Lexi smiled at him and squeezed his hand gently in thanks. She couldnt believe he had been up all night through this to help her. She couldnt believe she had actually survived all night long.
Kaylee smiled "do you want to come have a tea party with me and some other girls?" The girl looked so sad and shy she wanted her to be happy! Damon showed him how to wrap her up and cradled her in his arms carefully. He leaned back into the pillow his forearm over his eyes. Exhaustion was an understatement on how he was feeling right now.
London thought about that. It did sound fun! She nodded slowly, actually smiling this time. "Sure!"Dem smiled and watched his Dad. Then a nurse came in to take him out again so Lexi could rest.
Even though Lexi justnwanted to hold Taylor, and be held by Damon, she knew all three of them were exhausted, so she let her eyes fall closed.
James couldn't be more happy, it surprised him how easily that went and waved at her as she went to another table.Kaylee introduced the other girls and spoke in a fake dramatic accent presenting London with a large floppy flowery hat!
Damon crawled onto the guest couch and let his eyes shut hoping to get a few hours of sleep.
London smiled and took the hat, putting it on her head dramatically. She smiled at James.Taylor was put in a small crib in the room while Lexi drifted off into a deep deep sleep.
Only a few hours later, she was woken by the nurse to feed Taylor.
James chuckled and went over to the Lego blocks and started designing buildings and structures.Kaylee put a cookie on London's plate and some juice in her cup "you are now a par of the royal ladies club!"
Damon woke up to crying and groaned pulling the blanket up over his head.
A smaller boy with blonde hair walked over to James and smiled. "You're good!"London grinned and took a bow. "why thank you!" Then she looked around. "So what do we do in school anyways?"
Lexi looked over at Damon apologetically. "Sorry..." She mumbled, taking the squalling baby from the nurse. The second she started feeding, the child quieted and she sighed in relief.
James grinned at him "thanks! I'm trying to make a city...want to help?"Kaylee smiled "it's play time for an hour, and then we have reading time and color, we work on counting and telling time!"
Damon smiled watching her "she's got healthy lungs..."
he nodded. "Sure! i'm Max by the way."London nodded, smiling. "That sounds like fun. This is my first day..."
Lexi huffed. "That's one way of putting it..." She said, shaking her head. "Sorry for waking you."
James grinned "I'm James! So do we just get to play all the time? I can't even do that at home!"Kaylee smiled "well welcome! It's good to have new friends, is that boy your brother?"
Damon smiled and shook his head "it's fine baby...how are you doing?"
Max smiled and shook his head."Just for an hour, then we get to do other stuff." He explained. London nodded. "I like having friends." Then she smiled. "He's my twin."
Lexi smiled a little, "Better than yesterday, but still sore." She said honestly. She lifted up Taylor to burp her, before switching sides and continuing to feed.
James smiled "it's my first day! I'm really excited, my twin London is that girl over there." He gestured to the table of girls.Kaylee giggled "he's cute!" She took a sip of her juice "so where did you go to school before?"
Damon stood up and cradled her in his arms "I love you pretty girl!"
Max smiled. "It's nice to have you here! We can be friends! Your sister is pretty."London smiled, proud of being his sister. "I've never been to school." She said honestly.
Lexi smiled at him lovingly. "What would I do without you?"
James frowned feeling protective of his sister "be nice to her! I'd love to be friends with you!"Kaylee smiled "that's cool! Well I think it's reading time!"
Damon kissed her neck "the question is what would I do without you?"
Max raised his hands in the air. "I wont hurt her! I wouldn't even kiss her for a couple years!" He promised. Then he smiled. "Great. So friends then?"London smiled eagerly, and followed the other kids into a circle.
Lexi smiled and closed her eyes. "Get fat and lazy." She joked.
James frowned "never kiss her and we can be friends." He shook his hand and sat next to London on the rug "wait we aren't reading? The teacher is reading to us?"Damon grinned "I think that I'm already at that point!" He picked up Taylor "oh she's a heart breaker!"
max sighed and shrugged. "Alright. I won't kiss her." He promised. Then he shrugged. "Yeah, she reads to us. Can you read? Because I can't yet. We're in kindergarten Mate."Lexi laughed softly and shook her head. "No you're not. You're just as intimidatingly lovable as always." Then she smiled. "She would be. That's for sure. But she's not going any where near other boys." She said firmly.
James frowned "I can read...my mum taught me..." He whispered so only Max could hear him. "Don't tell anyone..."Damon nodded in agreement "of course she's already betrothed to Zach!"
Max raised an eyebrow. "You can read? That is insane!"Lexi chuckled. "Our poor child. She's only less than a day old, and already she has a planned husband!"
James nodded "I'll just pretend I can't..." He whispered and listened to the story about giving a mouse a cookie.Damon kissed her "I think it works out well...I can trust the Milton's and that way she can't get hurt by any other idiot boys!"
Max nodded. "That might be a good idea." He said, eyeing him.Lexi chuckled. "Its not like our family has a knackfor getting into trouble or anything." She rolled her eyes and grinned
James enjoyed the story and pulled out the clay so that he could build things with Max. He smashed the blue clay and grinned "what should we make?"Kaylee took the girls to go play hop scotch, she threw the beanbag down and hopped on the squares "your turn!"
Damon chuckled "no none at all!" He kissed Taylor's face and nuzzled her stomach "oh she's so perfect..."
Max joined him at the table. "Lets build.... a city!"London looked at the squares sheepishly. "Um... I dont know how to play..."
Lexi smiled. "Isnt she? She's got your mouth." She pointed out.
James nodded and started to make a dinosaur "I'll make a monster to crush the city!"Kaylee giggled "oh it's easy! You throw the bag and hop on the squares making sure not to put your foot down."
Damon grinned "she has your everything else!" He handed her back to Lexi and dangled a little toy for her to play with.
Max laughed and started building buildings for the city.London nodded and tossed the bag, before attempting to hop on one foot all the way.
Lexi smiled softly, watching as Taylor regarded the toy with shocked awe, and then reached up for it with eager hands.
James hummed to himself making a spiky tail and ferocious teeth! He grinned at Max "it's looking good!"Kaylee grinned and clapped "just like that! Good job London!"
Damon chuckled and let her grab onto it, her hands were so curious and adventurous to explore this new world.
Max smiled. "You too! You are amazing at building things!" He complimented.London smiled brightly. "Thanks for teaching me!"
Taylor shook the toy furiously, and then, deciding that was not how it work, she tried to chew it.
James grinned "thanks! You should come by our playhouse after school, I designed it and my dad built it!"Kaylee nodded and grinned "what are friends for?" She held up a jump rope "want to jump rope?"
Damon chuckled watching her "she likes to chew on things..."
Max's mouth dropped open. "Sweet! Can I really?"London smiled hugely. She had her first friend! "Sure!" She said brightly. "Can you teach me?"
Lexi smiled and rubbed her thumb over the back of her hand gently. "Dont all babies?" She smiled up at him. "Can we go home soon? Ill heal faster if we can ask Torch to do it..."
James laughed and nodded "my mom won't be there she just had my baby brother, but my dad will be excited I made a new best friend!"Kaylee nodded and showed her how to turn the rope and jump "you try now!"
Damon nodded "yeah I'm sure he can do that...Mae is probably still here."
Max grinned. "Awesome. I've always wanted a tree fort!" He shook his head. "You must have awesome parents...."London took the rope eagerly and started to jump. She did two jumps before landing right on the rope. She bit her lip. "Its harder than it looks..."
Lexi's eyes widened. "That's right! We should see her before we leave. And Zach can meet his future wife." She smiled.
James nodded with a grin "they are the greatest! Plus my sister makes things really fun! She's not always so shy!"Kaylee smiled "try again! No ones perfect the first time" she assured and urged her to try again.
Damon chuckled and nodded "sounds great...hopefully Zach will grow some before then!"
Max smiled despite himself. "I would like to get to know your sister better.... and you." He said, looking at the ground sheepishly.London nodded and chewed her lip, trying jumping again. This time shedid five jumps before she hit the rope. She smiled. "Im getting better!"
Lexi grinned. "So. Are you going to just stand there? Or are you going to help me up?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
James groaned "all my friends think my sister is cute!" He frowned in thought "if you date her when we are older, much older you can't hurt her!"Kaylee nodded and grinned "yeah you are! I can't do much more then that!" She glanced and saw James and smiled "your brother is so cute!"
Damon grinned and helped her into the wheelchair and made sure she was comfortable "good?"
Mark nodded seriously. "I promise on my life I wont hurt her." He smiled gently at him. "Wouldnt want to lose my new best friend!"London flushed, happy that she was getting better. Then she raised an eyebrow. "You like him?"
Lexi winced a little when she first shifted, but once she was in the wheelchair, her smile returned. "Good!" She assured. "Lets go see them."
James high fived him and grinned, the bell rang and he put away the clay "lunch time!"Kaylee giggled "he's cute and I like his dinosaur he made!"
Damon wheeled her to Mae's room. Mae looked up and smiled she looked really weak and exhausted "hey...what are you doing in the fashionable hospital gowns?"
Max ran out to his cubby and grabbed his lunch, before coming back in the classrom to sit on the floor and eat it.London rolled her eyes. "Hes not cute! Hes big and strong, and handsome, but not cute!" She protested.
Lexi grinned. "Hey best friend. Glad to see you getting stronger." She held her hand. "As for why im in a gown, well, Taylor decided she didnt like my stomach anymore I guess." She smiled.
James sat by him and grinned "I have fruit snacks do you want to trade?"Kaylee giggled "ok he's all the above!" She pulled out her sparkly lunch bag and sat by the boys "hi!"
Mae grinned and sat up looking at Taylor "oh she's beautiful Lexi! How are you feeling?"
Max nodded eagerly. "Sure! I can trade my granola bar?"London grabbed her bag, shaking her head. She went over to sit by James and smiled at him.
Lexi smiled. "Shes a cutie." Then she shrugged. "Better than yesterday, but still getting there."
James nodded and smiled at London "hey sis this is Max!" He gave him the snacks and munched on the granola bar.Kaylee giggled "I have a cupcake for you James!"
Mae smiled and hugged her friend "sorry I couldn't be there like I had promised..."
Max grinned and actually blushed a little. "How do you do?" He said politely with a small bow.London flushed and smiled. "Very well thanks. School is nice."
Lexi shook her head. "I totally understand! How is Zach, by the way?" She asked, remembering how small the child had been.
James glanced at the cupcake confused "um thanks?"Kaylee sat closer by him and smiled "im Kaylee, I'm London's best friend"
James looked at Max confused like what's going on?
Mae smiled "he is just on breathing tubes now...and he had his first dirty diaper!"
Max grinned and winked at him before turning back to London. "It is, isnt it?"London smiled at James, and then at Max. "So you're James's friend?"
Lexi grinned. "Thats amazing progress! Will he get to go home soon?"
Damon smiled and walked outside to the waiting room "Dem, ready to meet Taylor?"
