McKensie and Lara

London looked around the room frantically, scared by the sound of pounding the man was making on the other side of the trap door. There had to be a door somewhere... "Behind the mirror?" She suggested, noticing the floor to ceiling mirror against one wall.
Demetri nodded enthusiastically, "I can't wait!" He exclaimed. Then he smiled and giggled. "That's alright Dad. I understand. I'm glad your back now though. Then maybe Mom wont cry as much."
Lexi blushed. "Alright then Mr. Let's get you home." She said, changing the subject.

James nodded and went over but screamed as the man appeared through the mirror and grabbed him "got you now!" He put them both in the cages and started the machine. James held onto London's hand through the bars scared.
Damon shook his head why'd he get the genius son? He wasn't that good at school and studies! He flew to their home and chuckled realizing they didn't have a bed for him just a crib. "We can make the guest room yours Dem, just tell me what you want in it."

London froze in shock when the man jumped out through the mirror and grabbed them both, sticking them in cages. She was shaking with fear and shock now, and she gripped James's hand tightly, her wide eyes watching the man.
Demetri grinned in excitement. "Great!" He agreed, running off on his still somewhat chubby legs to the guest room. "We'll have to paint it! It's too girly!" He called back from his room.
Lexi chuckled and shook her head. "Seems like yesterday you were painting that room for me."

James felt a shock and fell shaking "London!..." He held onto his sisters hand even though he was in much pain he still wanted to support her.
Damon shook his head and sighed kissing her head "my kid is smarter than me..." He layed his head on her shoulder.

London screamed when a bolt ran through her body and she started sobbing, gripping her brother's hand tighter. "Please stop!" She cried, even though she knew the man would not listen.
Lexi smiled and shook her head. "He is brilliant, isn't he." She ran her fingers through his hair. "But that doesn't make you any less smart."

James grinned seeing his parents "dad! Help! It hurts!" He pleaded and tried to break through the bars.
Damon sighed and smiled at her kissing her cheek "we have a powerful and brilliant son, I dont know how to be his dad...he just, I don't know!"

London leaped out of the cage and hugged her father. "Dad!" She cried.
Lexi laughed and nodded. "I know. He is smart, and I feel I will not be able to parent him either." She shook her head. "But he seems to be coming along well on his own. All we have to do is be there for him, and try our best." She said, shrugging.

Damon sighed "I just...want to be the one he looks up to, like my dad wasn't for me...but hell in a few years he could live on his own!"

London giggled and hugged him back, leaning her head on his chest. Then she pulled away and grimaced. "Daddy, you're bleeding!"
Torch nodded, "just a couple scrapes from the window darling. Not anything to cry over. Let's get you and James home."
Lexi smiled and nodded. "He does look up to you." She assured. "I see it when he looks at you. He loves us both." She kissed his cheek. "Even if he does move out that quickly, I'm sure he will always look up to you." She promised.

Damon sighed and nodded with a smile he took her to the bedroom and lay on the bed. "I just...Lex I just want to be a good dad..." He put his pillow over his face.

London smiled and hugged her mother, glad to finally be able to. "Missed you too Mommy." She said, cuddling her small face against her mother.
Lexi crawled up beside him and propped her head up on her elbow. "And I'm sure you will be." She said gently. "Stop doubting yourself Damon. I believe in you." Then she grinned, deciding to lighten the mood. She leaped on him and grabbed his wrists, holding them down. "Well. Except that I can beat you wrestling..." She teased.

Damon grinned and let her pin him "but I like when you take advantage of me..." He nipped at her ear lobes "I'm as weak as a baby rabbit.."

Lexi laughed, kissing him slowly, teasingly. "Oh, is that so? Well. You've never told me that before." She whispered, kissing delicately and slowly down his neck, prolonging the spaces between each kiss.

Damon curled his hands around her shirt and kissed down his neck and ran his hands down her waist "Mmm I missed this...I need you."

Torch nodded. "I agree." He said, picking up James in his arms. "We can fly to the London airport, and then I'll get us tickets." he decided.
Lexi smiled, blushing. "I missed you too." She said softly, moving up to kiss his lips again. She rolled them over so he was on top. "I missed being yours. I missed being in your arms." She whispered.

Damon curled her up and sucked on her neck "careful Demetri might hear" he whispered and caressed under her knee.

Lexi smiled sheepishly, and nodded, "Wouldn't want him hearing that." She agreed. She closed her eyes and relaxed, moaning softly. It was so nice to be with him again.

Damon grinned and nipped down to her stomach "Mmm that's a cute little bump" he had never noticed that before.

Lexi shivered, and then her eyebrows raised in surprise. "What bump?" She asked, nervous because she had no idea what he was talking about.

Damon frowned and moved her hand over her stomach "that one?"

Lexi felt it and frowned then. "That wasn't there before..." She whispered, worried.

Damon frowned and sat up "should we go to a doctor?"

Lexi bit her lip. "I don't know... maybe its just normal, and we're being paranoid... but then again... It could be something serious." She looked up at him. "Do you think I should get it looked at?"

Damon frowned "I'll go get an appointment set up for tonight...ok?" He pecked her lips not wanting to worry about losing her or her being sick.

Lexi nodded, "Alright." She agreed, also not wanting to worry. "I'm sure its nothing." She said, trying to reassure them both.

Damon called the doctor and got comfortable clothes for her and went into Demetri's bedroom "hey buddy we are taking mom to the doctor."

Lexi changed into the sweatpants and T-shirt, her heart throbbing with worry. She hated being stressed about the doctors and being sick. Going to the doctors and the dentist... two things she hated most. She got up and went to the door, sighing softly in resignation. "Ready to go." She said.

Damon was holding Demetri and helped him in the backseat "there we go, you ready Demi?" He helped Lexi and kissed her "it's all going to be fine..."

Lexi slipped into the passenger seat and buckled herself in, nodding slowly, her eyes fixed straight ahead in worry. "I hope so." She said softly.

Damon room her hand and drove her to the clinic and checked her in as a showed Demetri a book teaching him how to sound out the words.

Lexi walked to the back, into a doctors office, where a short lady with a Caucasian complexion smiled at her and proceeded with a physical.

James ate his muffin happily and grinned at London "we share a room! It's big and we have toys!"
Damon watched and kept Demetri busy with the book "ok what does that say?" He didn't need to watch his mom.

London smiled in excitement. "Toys! Our own room? That sounds great!"
When it was finished, the doctor prescribed some antibiotics to her, saying she could administer the shots herself, and told her not to worry. "It's unusual, yes. But harmless." The doctor said, giving her the prescription slip.

James nodded "and a pool and swing set! You'll like it a lot!" He promised so excited to have his sister home and giving her the muffin.
Damon sighed still worried and nodded taking Demetri's hand "come on buddy time to go home!" He rubbed Lexi's back and kissed her cheek "you ok?"

London bounced in her seat in excitement. "Yay!" She exclaimed, resting her head on his shoulder. "I can't wait to play with you." She said, taking a bite of the muffin.
Lexi nodded slowly, heaving a sigh. "I think so." She said softly. She was still nervous, the trip to the doctors not helping anything, but just making her more worried. She didn't say that though, as they walked out to the car.

James smiled and rested his head on hers and yawned tiredly "want to watch the movie?" He asked London
Damon was more worried maybe the demon doctor would know? He could have her come...he should of had her come in the first place. "I'm going to get the doctor...I'm not convinced you nearly died last time!"

London nodded. "Yes. Let's." She agreed, her eyes fluttering with exhaustion. She had been up most of the past couple days, and it was wearing on her small body.
Lexi nodded, stressed now because Damon was worried, and that meant something was up. "Alright." She agreed, her voice soft. "We should probably pick up the antibiotics on the way home as well."

James watched her and took offhis jacket rolling it up and putting it under her head on his lap like a pillow.
Damon shook his head "they aren't good for non mortals...there are natural cures and healing." He drove them home and called the doctor with his mind urgently.

London smiled and lifted the arm rest, lying her head down on his lap and closing her eyes. "Thank you." She whispered.
Lexi nodded. "Ok. Sorry. I didn't know." She said softly, getting out of the car and walking inside. She sat in their room, on the bed, just fiddling with her hands as she waited for Damon to call the doctor. She didn't like how nervous he was. It made her scared.

Damon was pacing waiting for her and sat on the bed taking her hands "I'm sorry I'm so nervous it's just that...you died in my arms, do you think I want to kiss your purple lips again? I can't raise my son on my own so I want to triple check ok?..."

Lexi nodded and looked down at her hands, staying quiet. "I'm sorry." She said finally, referring to how she had died and left Damon. She knew now, from when he had almost died, how he must have felt when she did. And she hated that she had done that to him, however unwillingly.

Mae grabbed the suitcases and took a deep breath grateful to be home.
Damon kissed her lovingly and moved her hair back "I forgive you if you forgive me for doing the very same..." He heard the doctor and ushered her in explaining the situation.

Torch nodded, standing up. "Yes we are. Let's go." he ushered them to move ahead of him and walk behind Mae down the aisle.
Lexi nodded a little. "I forgive you." she whispered. She had stayed in the same position, hands clasped, ankles crossed, for this whole time, and was too nervous to move. She looked up as the doctor came in, and her face laced with worry.

James was about to tell him that he had his wings but Mae intervened and ushered them out.
((Do you want me to play the doctor and I was thinking she's pregnant do you have an other ideas you want to try out?))

Torch bit his lip to keep away a smile at the close call they almost had. He would have to talk to the twins later about magic and the human world.

James grinned excitedly and two little silver wings came out, he flapped them and raised an inch off the ground "cool!"
The doctor smiled having her tools ready and handed Lexi a hospital gown to slip into. Damon held her hand knowing she hated the doctor, he rubbed his thumb across the back.

London hesitantly unfurled two black feathery wings, and flapped them a couple times, but she didnt lift at all.
Lexi got changed and squeezed his hand, relying on him for courage. She watched the doctor nervously, waiting for what she should do.

James landed and smoothed down his sister'a feathers "try again!"
The doctor checked her heartbeat and lungs, felt around the bump softly pressing ever so gently. She smiled at Lexi "alright sweety just lay back and relax it'll only take a minute" she promised
Damon stroke her hair trying to be supportive and kissed her forehead.

Torch nodded in encouragement. "There you go. You got it." He assured.
Lexi nodded slowly, her gut twisting a little. She forced herself to relax and lie back on the bed, swallowing as she waited. She kept her eyes on Damon and tried to forget about the doctor.
James didn't know and he really wish his dad was here and that this was all a really bad nightmare. He slammed the trapdoor and moved the heavy bookcase over it to trap the man. But there was still no door...
Damon smiled and nodded "you can go to school with James, how about that?" He just had to change his mindset and make his son older in his mind. He kissed his head "sorry I left buddy..."
