Damon headed back home and no one was there it scared him knowing the people in his past who wanted to hurt him! He flew everywhere trying to find his family.Astra grinned and went to the horse coral and sat on the fence "which one is yours?"
Crew saw the feathers and nodded helping adjust her "guess you really are an angel" he whispered
Ash smiled. "The black one." He said, pointing. He came up beside her on thr fenceLexi's eyes widened. An angel? She was an angel again!? She looked back and sure enough... lexi bit her lip and nodded. "Please dont tell...."
Astra grinned back at him "yeah? What's his name?" She hopped over the fence and went up to the horse fearlessly and pet his soft velvet muzzle "hello there..." She cooed.Crew nodded and gave a smile "As long as you don't tell anyone that I am too!" He whispered back and smiled gebtly.
Ash grinned. "Blaze. Because of the stripe down his nose, and his fiery spirit." He said honestly.Lexi's eyes widened in surprise. "You are too!?" She asked in a hushed tone. Then she smiled. "Well its nice to have someone else who is." She said honestly.

Astra glanced back at him with a smirk "creative. Predictable man like horse. That's what you're hoping I say anyways!" She teasedDamon entered the room and felt this block, like he couldn't be with her...the bond was gone! He glared at the man next to her forgetting that she was hurt "get out before I throw you out!"
Ash grinned and kissed her quickly. "Yes it is." He agreed, laughing.Lexi looked up as someone entered the room. It was damon. He was back, and he looked angry. Lexi shrunk back on the bed, remembering the picture. "Its alright, he means no harm." She said softly.
Mae smiled at Torch across the table, her hand playing with his under the table. She leaned over and whispered something huskily in his ear and then kissed his cheek. Astra held onto his face to lengthen the short kiss and smirked "you're getting there! Now help me up!"
Damon glared daggers at Crew "I thought I taught you a lesson before? And now your making moves on my wife!" He couldn't be more mad if he tried! He hated this angel he was the reason he could never and should never forgive himself.
Torch grinned at what she said, nodding eagerly. "We can go back home soon." He promised. "Did you like the meal?" He raised an eyebrow, his fingers lacing with hers under the table.Ash laughed. "Right away ma'am." He said, bending down and cupping his hands for her to step on and up.
Crew glared right back. " I was not." He spat out. "You left her without word, so I kept her company after the accident. Your wife got hit by a truck. You werent there to know or care!" He shot back.
Lexi stared at Damon, shocked by the rage she saw. It was almost the same expression she saw in the photo, and it scared her. "He is just a friend." She insisted.
Mae smiled and nodded "delicious! We should get a to-go box and bring some dessert back to James and Lexi!"Astra held onto the horse and pushed herself up with his help, she reached out her hand to pull him up and held onto his back "who was that guy at your house?"
Damon's features softened realizing the fear in Lexi's eyes he ran a hand through his hair "thank you...for taking care of her. I had to resolve a matter, I wouldn't have left if it wasn't important!"
Torch nodded. "Coming right up." He agreed, flagging down a waiter and asking for a to go box. "Its good of her to watch him on such short notice."Ash pulled himself up and urged the horse forwars at a slow walk. "That was my brother." He said, smiling a little. "Older brother. He drops by every now and then."
"No doubt. Obviously more important than being with your wife in the hospital." Crew pointed out, shaking his head.
Lexi bit her lip. "Boys. Please." She begged softly, looking between them both. She was rather shaken at seeing Damon so angry and hated that they were fighting because of her.
Crew sighed. "Ill let you two catch up." He said, brushing past Damon and out into the hall.
Mae nodded and smiled "it's nice to have time just the two of us..."Astra smiled "he's hot" she wanted to get him ruffled up "not quite as hot as you though!"
Damon wanted to slam him into the wall, he knew nothing! He hated that he was here and being 'friends' with his wife! But most of all he hated the way Lex looked at him now...he slowly walked in and say near her bed.
Torch nodded in enthusiastic agreement. "Yes. It is. " he stood slowly and offered his hand to her, picking up the to go box in his other arm. "Shall we head back?"Ash grinned, feeling the heat rise to hs cheeks and the tips of his ears. "You are just too cute." He spluttered.
Lexi looked up at Damon as he walked over. She bit her lip, her brow furrowing in worry. She decided to let him know why she was nervous straight out. "Crew.... crew told me what you did..."
Mae smiled and took his arm leaning to his side "do you think James will be asleep?"Astra grinned and kissed his neck "one of the reasons you keep me around right?"
Damon stiffened and looked away "Crew should keep his trap shut..."
Torch walked outside with her. "He probably is." He agreed. "Do you want to pick him up first, or spend some more time alone at the house and then go get him?"Ash nodded. "Yup." He said, smiling. "But there are countless of other reasons." He added.
Lexi looked down for a moment, clasping her hands together. "Is it true then?" She asked, as soft as a whisper. "Is it true that you killed those people?"
Mae knew what she wanted, but she had a feeling she should get her son "we can spend time while he's skeeping, Lexi probably needs a break..."Astra wrapped her arms around his waist "bet you say that to all the girls."
Damon swallowed, Ash was right this was too good to be true "yeah...I was a different man..."
Torch nodded in agrrement. "Alright." He agreed, takibg off and flying them to Damons house.Ash shook his head, frowning. "No. I love you. You're different from the rest." He insisted.
Lexi gulped and nodded, her hands trembling slightly. She put them under the sheets to hide them. "Im an angel again..." she said softly.
Mae knocked on the door but there was nothing she walked in, nothing no kids no Lexi..."where are they?" She asked worried about James.Astra smiled and rested her head on his shoulder "I love you too...you aren't like any guy I have ever dated..."
Damon flinched and looked down "I can't be with you then...I'll harm you...the bond is gone."
Torch frowned in concern. 'Damon? Where are you guys?' He asked, worried about the safety of his kids.Ash smiled happily, surging with happiness and pride. "Thank you, love." He said, grinning.
Lexi paled. The bond was gone. So they werent married anymore!? Was he saying they had to... break up? Tears filled Lexi's eyes and she lookeddown, nodding slowly. She was trembling all over now.
Damon swallowed feeling sick all over, he would never deserve anyone that will love him...unconditionally. He gently touched her arm "I'll never stop loving you...even if we can't be together..." He heard Torch and sighed 'the hospital. James is in a little room with a nurse'Mae looked around for any clues, but all she found was a popped ball...
Lexi swallowed and nodded slowly, the tears spilling over and running down her cheeks. "Why... why cant we just stay together?" She asked, looking up at him. "Im... I.... I dont like what you did Damon, it scares me. But I still love you." She whispered.Torch frowned and nodded. "Come on." He said. "We have to go to the hospital." He said, taking off again.
Damon shook his head "I'll hurt you...angels lose life and health the longer they are near demons..." He whispered and sighed "it'll be ok...we'll still see eachother off and on...Crew can watch over you.."Mae frowned and headed to the hospital she asked for his son, and James with a big green cast ran to his parents and hugged them.
Lexi nodded, trying to hold it together, but she could not. Her whole body was shaking. "Alright." She managed to whisper, before a sob wracked her lungs and she lifted the sheets to hide her face as she cried.Torch hugged his son. "Hey buddy!" He exclaimed. "How are you doing?" He was worried by the cast on his son's arm.
Damon tried to hide his tears but they were so overwhelming and he let them flow as he rubbed Lexi's arm and sighed "I'm sorry..."James told the story in his point of view and talked about choosing the color of his cast.
Lexi nodded, not lifting her head. She felt like a bucket of icey water had just been poured over her heart, chilling her to the bone. Lexi wanted tell herself that she would just turn back, but she knew it was unlikely that she would kill someone, and that was what was required this time. "Its my fault." She whispered."tell Demetri I love him" she whispered brokenly.Torch grew surprised at the tale, but he hid it. "Sounds exciting!" He told his son. He turned to Mae. "Do you think Lexi's alright?"
Damon sighed "Demetri is all yours...you are his mum he needs you...just let him know his dad loves him..."Mae frowned "let's go see her...I have a bad feeling..."
Lexi sobbed and shook her head. "He's a demon... I wont... I cant...." she closed her eyes, her lips pressing together. She couldnt bring herself to say that she couldnt care fore Demetri. Torch nodded and asked where Lexi was, finding thr room. He walked in to find both of them crying and he froze. "Maybe we should come back later?"
Damon shook his head "I'll turn him...he's yours Lexi..." He took his son and closed his eyes his eyes glowing and little feathers poked from his back.Mae frowned worriedly "I wonder what's going on?..."
Lexi stared at her son and half smiled, half cried. She took him gently in her arms and hugged him. "I'm so sorry." Was all she could say through her tears. Torch bit his lip. "Mae... Lexi and Demetri are angels. Their essence has changed."
Damon nodded and sighed wishing he could kiss her so badly. He sighed "I'll keep in touch...can you send me photos of you two?..."Mae looked at him confused "but Damon...."
Lexi nodded, not able to look up at him, not able to see anything really because her eyes were flooded with tears. "Of course." She whispered, nodding eagerly. "All the time." She promised. A large tear rolled down her face. "I'll never stop loving you." She whispered. Torch shook his head. "He's a demon." He said softly, biting his lip.
Damon nodded "I'll be with my brother..." He sighed and kissed Demetri and Lexi on the head wincing at the toll it took on the both of them. "Goodbye..."Mae covered her mouth "they can't be bonded..."
Lexi felt herself weaken, but right now, she wished he would just kiss her, even if it killed her. She wanted to be held by him again. She couldnt bring herself to say goodbye as her throat swelled with emotion, she just nodded and hid her face in the sheets again, sobbing.Torch shook his head. "No." He agreed. "They cant. Not unless Lexi falls, or Damon becomes an angel, both equally unlikely."
Damon swallowed his emotion and left the hospital room pushing past Torch and Mae without saying a word. He felt heavy but not angry just sad, he looked at Crew "take care of her..." And then flew.Mae watched and felt sick, she gripped onto Torch grateful for their bond...she thought having London gone was hard...
Lexi broke down then, not able to hold herself together. She couldnt even hold Demetri she was shaking so hard. She flipped over and burried her face in her pillow, unable to stop crying. Her heart had torn in half.Torch held her against him gently, sighing. He felt sick for Damon, only able to guess what he was going through. "What should we do?"
Mae sighed "I'll go talk to Lexi and you go after Damon...we be supportive and do anything to ease the pain..." She picked up James and kissed his head upset that he was almost run over.
Torch nodded in agreement, taking off and flying for a while before he found Damon. He flew beside him in silence for a while before saying, "how are you?" Lexi had cried so hard she felt dried out, and yet some how the tears kept coming. Everytime she thought she had stopped, she remembered that damon would not be coming back, and started crying all over again.
Damon shook his head "how do you think I am Torch?..." He went silent again "Lexi found out I'm a killer and I can never touch her or my son again..."Mae came in and frowned handing her a new box of tissues "can I do anything love?..." She asked softly and took her hand, being part angel she could touch her friend.
Torch swallowed slowly, staying silent for a moment, before saying. "Im sorry. I really am." He felt sorrow for his friend.Lexi shook her head. "No. Im afraid not Mae." She whispered. "Nothing can be done about it." She winced and bit her lip as she said that, as if realizing the truth in her words.
Damon sighed "yeah...I can't stay here, Ash is living in the country...I'll stay with him...make sure she's taken care of though? And if she finds someone...let her know I'm ok with it...I just want her happy..."Mae sighed and played with her hair because she liked when people did that to her "I'll be here with you...no matter what ok? You aren't ever alone..."
Torch swallowed, hating the depressing tone of voice he heard in Damon. "Mae and I will take take of her." He promised. "Try to take care of yourself too, alright mate?" Torch asked, worried.Lexi nodded and forced a smile. "Thanks." She said softly. But she knew deep down... "it still doesnt feel the same. Not without him." She whispered.
Damon nodded "yeah...will do...I'll try to keep in contact." He assured and gave a very small smile "things could be worse..." He tried to say optimistically, but he couldn't think of anything worse right now.Mae nodded "time will heal it...you still have this beautiful boy...and if you could...London...she can't be near demons..."
Torch nodded, smiling sympathetically. "Alright. See you around." He said, smiling once more before swooping away and giving his friend some space.Lexi nodded numbly. She didnt think time could heal this wound. It ran too deep. "Yes. I do have him." She said, ruffling Demetri's hair. His similarities with Damon brought fresh tears to her eyes. "Of course ill take care of London." She assured softly, only able to watch Demetri with a certain longing.
Damon flew across the country heading towards his brothers place, he didn't want to think he didn't want to cry...crime that would numb this wound and alcohol...lots of it.Mae sighed in relief and hugged her "thank you...when are they letting you out of here? Are you feeling ok...physically?"
Torch flew back to the hospital where he waited outside Lexis room for Mae to come out, playing with James in his lap.Lexi nodded numbly. "Im fine physically." She assured. "But im not sure when theyll let me out..." she said, sighing softly. She didnt care either. No matter where she went, this would hurt just as badly.
James laughed playing paddy cake with his dad. He grabbed his cheeks and pushed his face together "I need a new ball!"Mae frowned worriedly "I don't think you stay at Damon's place...it'll hurt worse. We could rent you an apartment? Lex I have a feeling this isn't going to be forever..."
Damon looked up when Ash came in "I need the strongest alcohol you've got..."
Torch made the fish face and then grinned, laughing with his kid. "Dont worry. Ill get you one. But no more playing near the streets, ok?Lexi bit her lip and nodded, agreeing with that. "Alright." She agreed."thanks." Then she swallowed slowly. "How could it not be forever Mae?" She asked softly. "There's no way to fix it..."
Ash raised an eyebrow but didnt laugh, feeling that this was serious. He grabbed Damon a pack of bottles and set them on the table before him. "What happend to being a changed man?"
James nodded "it rolled..." He tried to explain and hugged him close "Does London play ball?"Mae shrugged "I just have a feeling...more miraculous things have happened..." She added and hugged her close "it'll be ok..."
Damon cracked it open and chugged it straight down "no good deed goes unpunished."
Torch nodded in understanding. "Just be careful, ok?" He warned. Then he smiled. "Im sure she does."Lexi wanted to retort immediately with. "No it wont." But she bit her tongue. "Id have to kill someone to be with him." She said softly. Then she stiffened. "I have to kill someone..." she said even softer. The pain was starting to wear on her reason, clouding her thoughts.
Ash nodded, watching his brother. The only thing that could have changed him back so fast would be the girl, which he figured out pretty quick. "What happened?" He asked softly.
James frowned "does she remember me?"Mae took her hand "hey...none of that, Damon could turn angel you never know..." She sighed, not knowing how to help her friend. She wish she could just do something!
Damon started on the next bottle not even phased "she turned back into an angel...the bond was broken, I can't be with her or my son...it was too good to be true anyways..."
Lexi bit her lip. She was confused and scared now. She was growing wings, she knew that, but how? She didnt realize she was an angel yet. Where was Damon now? She would rather he be here than the doctors who would start running tests on her. "Im fine." She forced out.
