Zermeena | 725 comments Has anyone else read Magic, Lies, and Deadly Pies? I started it and marked it DNF because it was not a cozy and I thought it was icky. The main character is a hired killer and there was too much profanity.

I read this a long time ago (10+ years), and it's one of the books that piqued my interest in Baldacci's books (and series).

Zermeena | 725 comments I listened to Lessons in Chemistry and gave it 5 stars. It is a very compelling story. As a female scientist it was fascinating and sad to hear about how women were treated in the 1950s and 60s. I found myself making excuses to listen because I had to know what plot twist was coming next!

I know a lot of people do. I find the sex/fetish talk in the books to be outside the bounds of cozy.
