Which book?

or

They are very different kinds of books. Both of my libraries have Beckstrand books but only one has books by Lennox.

by David Baldacci. I am a huge fan of his books."
I loved that one and wish the series had gone on for more than just four books. But I say that about most of his series, "It ended too soon!"

Historical and feminist, and deals sympathetically with some serious issues.

I have read and really liked all 3 of these. I was born in Edinburgh so it has a special interest to me

Sorry, I put the wrong cover. It was Sweet as Honey

I did read all 3 of the series and liked them. They can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest readng in order.

Have you read the books by Paige Shelton. She has written cozy mysteries that are based in Edinburgh.

yes I like the Paige Shelton books too

I haven't yet. The wait lists on library kindle are long now, but I'll try again later, thank you.

I read very little nonfiction but I have always liked Patrick Steward especially in Star Trek and X Men. Very good memories well written.

Cozy without the mystery. It's a Hallmark movie in book form. I really liked the Muslim content. It's different. I've read her first two books and I liked learning about the Desi community in those too.

Aren't a lot of romances like "Hallmark Movie[s] in book form :o)

The last non-cozies I read were the holiday-themed books Scrooge-ish and Naughty-ish by L.B. Dunbar, from her Holiday Hotties series.
I enjoyed both stories, I think I liked the second one better.
The second, Naughty-ish, had a great Christmas "DO" list. The heroine had just gotten divorced and forced to move into a smaller house with her kids. She wasn't in the holiday mood, but made a list of things to do for herself and her kids. Her (hottie) neighbor helped her change her list and her attitude...

She later added...
* Build a home (full of traditions)
* Love your family
* Be happy and better
The title of the book comes from her want to be a bit naughty (Naughty-ish). Her hero-next-door was all too willing to help her with her entire list. He's the one who helped her reset her holiday priorities.

Maybe. The ones I was reading before I discovered cozies got a little too raunchy for me.
This one is like a Hallmark movie because the small town is the setting of a new movie filming in town, a follow up to a popular "Heartline" channel movie! The grandfather, Dadu, LOVES Christmas movies, especially the one that aired on the Heartline Channel.

I like their books.

I like that series too. It's different but cozyish still.

Tempted and Taken by Mari Carr from her Italian Stallions series.
As usual when not reading cozies I'm reading romance. This is the sixth book in the series. A prequel interlude, Naughty and Nice, was issued in December to whet our appetites until the couple's full story came out. The December "encounter" was hot! This was good, but -- for me, at least -- was not as good. I love the couple and the story was good, just not as good.
There are two more (I believe) left in this series. I've enjoyed all entries, some more than others. However, all have been good.
