I finished listening to Mercy Falls by William Kent Krueger, Cork O'Connor #5, and I'm so glad we picked this series to read. It's just consistently good. Here's my review.

I'm now resuming my listening of Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens.

Today I finished A Whole New Light by Sandra Brown A Whole New Light. It is a reissue of an old Loveswept category romance by Sandra Brown. Brown's older books are very hit and miss for me. I liked this one.

It's one of my least favorite in the series:)

One of the things I think you'll appreciate if you stick with the series is how Eve evolves. After the first book, I wasn't certain if the series was my cuppa. I'm thrilled I continued because the character development is its strength. Hope you can tough it out.

I will, I was sucked back in at the end, and also if McNab and Peabody keep at it for awhile I'll be happy.

I finished listening to Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens, a chilling story involving domestic abuse. Here's my review.

I also finished Where the Dead Lie by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #12, and it was outstanding. No chance that this series has ended and here's my review.

I'm now listening to Don't Let Go by Jaci Burton, Hope #6, and reading Sit...Stay...Beg by Roxanne St. Claire, The Dogfather #1 (portion of proceeds going to rescue shelters). Also, all the dogs featured on the covers are rescue animals.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I just read four books in the Bones series by Kathy Reichs, the latest being Bones Never Lie (Temperance Brennan, #17) by Kathy Reichs . I think this is the first 5-star review I've given a book in the series, although I'd liked to have seen Ryan and Tempe closer again....sigh....

The library's paperback copy also has a novella at the end, "Swamp Bones," in case anyone has been looking for it in print. I'll be reading this next, less than 100 pages.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 1631 comments I'm finally dipping my toe back into reading this month. I just started the audiobook for Feast of Sorrow: A Novel of Ancient Rome Feast of Sorrow A Novel of Ancient Rome by Crystal King this morning so I haven't gotten too far into yet.

I'm also listening to the audiobook for The Witch With No Name The Witch With No Name (The Hollows, #13) by Kim Harrison - the last Rachel Morgan book - while on the treadmill.

And I'm also reading Bookburners Bookburners (Bookburners #1.1-1.16) by Max Gladstone . It was written as a serial by four contributing authors and now bound together in a single book. It's like a cross between the tv shows Warehouse 13, The Librarians, and with a little smattering of Haven.

I'm Jealous, Mary Beth. I was trying to sign up for it on the library's site last night, but I think I was aced out since they don't have it available yet. I won't read your review until after I read the book, but I will be interested to see what you think after....

I decided to read two of the remaining three short stories in the Troubleshooters series.

I finished Beginnings and Ends by Suzanne Brockmann, Troubleshooters #16.1. Despite its brevity, it was very good and here's my review.

I finished Free Fall by Suzanne Brockmann, Troubleshooters #16.6. Again, really short but exciting and packing powerful messages. Here's my review.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 1631 comments I finished both Bookburners Bookburners (Bookburners #1.1-1.16) by Max Gladstone and Feast of Sorrow: A Novel of Ancient Rome Feast of Sorrow A Novel of Ancient Rome by Crystal King . I did the audiobook for Feast of Sorrows and though the narrator did a fairly good job of it, it was odd that the Egyptian slave sounded like an old Jewish man (or at least the way old Jewish men tend to sound in movies). I also finished Jade Dragon Mountain Jade Dragon Mountain (Li Du Novels #1) by Elsa Hart over the weekend. It's a historical mystery set in 18th century China. It was interesting since I have zero knowledge of China during that time period.

Now my focus is back on Fantasy and Sci Fi for these next two books as I've started Illuminae Illuminae by Amie Kaufman on audiobook and reading Red Sister Red Sister (Book of the Ancestor, #1) by Mark Lawrence on my own.
