Aw, hope you do pick it up again. It takes a bit to get going. I enjoyed it but I believe it may have been my first dystopian aside from 1984.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I'm reading the series set in Folly-on-Weir by Stella Cameron. I just finished the second book, Out Comes the Evil (Alex Duggins Mystery, #2) by Stella Cameron . It's not quite a cozy, but not lots of gore. And after reading a Karen Rose ^^600 pages, this one came in at a slim 215 pages.

I have the next two books in the series, so I will read them, as well. The heroine did have a couple of TSTL moments, so I hope these don't reappear with frequency in upcoming volumes.

I finished Conditioned by Liz Crowe, Brewing Passions #3, and enjoyed this one, especially since it looked at the earlier relationships through the eyes of third parties. Here's my review.

I also finished Ready to Roll by Suzanne Brockmann, Troubleshooters #16.8, and loved this book. FYI, you need to read this one before #17 because one of the main characters plays a major role in this story. Here's my review.

I'm now reading Leave No Trace by Cindy Gerard, Black Ops, Inc. #5.5.

The body count was the most interesting part.
This one had 4 points of views going, and I couldn't follow. Also the detectives in her books are so unprofessional blabbing info on their cases, that is what bugs me the most. The romance also starting with a glance across the room, and JD could only see Lucy's eyes cause of her mask was like 😝. Sorry, Lol. I tried for 4 days to get into it. I'm glad you like them. I'll keep up by reading your reviews.

message 443: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 4036 comments This series has three things against it for me. 1. The high body count; 2. Serial killers; 3. Insta-love. Because it is so well written, (I really like the different points of view, it reminds me of Tom Clancy) I've given the books mostly 5-Star ratings. I just don't even notice that most of them are 500+ pages.
