Like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is a pretty light read and not too long so I would be ok for March to just continue the series. I'm happy to go with Cinder/Scarletlater in the year.

Mary Pat and Lindsay-
March is good for me to start The Restaurant at the End of the Universe :) I was mentioning it here (right as Lindsay mentioned in the group read) it could be an option for a buddy read. :)

Yes I have read Scarlet already. :) I don't know if nominating is the right term for it, but I wanted to mention it and bring it up in conversation. Kinda throw it out there if anyone is interested. I was talking to Winter (the mod for the group not the book lol) and she mentioned continuing The Lunar Chronicles. I've seen a few goodread friends also mentioning it in the past that they want to read Scarlet. Especially with the Serial Reader Yearly challenge, it could be a strive forward for those to get to it? I dunno I just want to contribute to the series honestly lol. It's so good!

Maybe if enough people are interested it could be an option later in the spring or summer. Totally not mandatory or anything since I already read it, but I see it come across threads often enough.

I just turned my notifications on for this form. I've missed so much on accident lol. I'm still game for Chocolat in April. :)

Buddy Reads are a little different than Group Reads. You can suggest a book here any time. As long as two or more people want to read a book together in the same month, we create a thread. (You can find more details in the first post in this Intro thread.)

Awesome, thank you!

I wouldn't mind reading Cinder or Scarlet again. If more people are interested, I'm game :)

Mary Pat | 2186 comments Lindsay wrote: "I would go for Scarlet and the Hitchhikers series Taylor."

Lindsay, are you ok with reading Scarlet a little later in the year? Taylor R has already read it but I am interested in the whole series.

I was planning on starting it in July but perhaps I can move Cinder up on my list and we could read Scarlett in June or July?

Also, I get the impression there are others who would like to read The Lunar Chronicles series as a buddy read. I'd like to see what other interest there is.

Let me know what you think!

P.S. Lindsay, I just saw your post that says you are ok with doing it later in the year! Let's see who else wants to join. Then we can pick a month to start!

Of course! I have added you to the list of participants! Look for the thread to be posted towards the end of March. It will be a Buddy Read for two months (April & May) because it is fairly long.

I was keeping the Serial Reader challenge in mind :) My Goodreads friend (I read series with) and I smashed The Lunar Chronicles last month but I love it so much I don't mind joining again. I'm going to buy the series this time. :)

Janine | 1544 comments I got my copy of A Conjuring of Light today and I have decided I'm going to re-read the first two in March before reading it. So if there's still a buddy read planned for April I'd love to join in on that.

You did see that Lindsay, and I am! Right now I haven't yet figured out when I want to read it (March is a bit of a floating month for me) but it will be sometime in the next month, and I'll definitely drop into the thread at some point. :)

I would like to join The Restaurant at the End of the Universe buddy read- I just finished Hitchhiker and would like to continue the series. Also, you mentioned a Cinder/Scarlet readalong- I haven't read any of the series, but I've heard really good things, and Cinder has been buried in my TBR stack for way too long. I'd love it if a buddy read could give me the motivation to start the series. :)
