I'm also fine with starting Mistborn #1 (The Final Empire) in February with Lindsay.Winter - so that would mean we start #2, The Well of Ascension, in March.

Sounds like we have a plan! The Mistborn Series Buddy Read will start in February and run through April!

March would be the soonest I could easily read them If you are willing to wait that long. I am available to read them any time after or if you would like to start in February I might be able to move some things around to start then.

Does anyone want to read Moby Dick during February and/or March? It's a really long book and I've been meaning to read it but I keep getting side tracked.
I also have several series in my 2017 TBR:The Ryria Revelations, His Dark Materials, Xenogenesis, The Spinster Club, Avalon, In Search of Lost Time, Gentleman Bastard, Red Rising, Outlander and The Stormlight Archive.

If someone else (or several someone elses) is interested in reading Moby Dick with you, it can be spread out over a couple of months. (We have done that with several long books, e.g., Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina, etc.)

It will just be a matter of timing and what else everyone has on their plates when we get to the end of the first three.

I have three of these series on my TBR.
Outlander - I have read the first four books and plan to finish the series by the end of the year,
Red Rising - I have read the first book and planned to read the second one this year. As it is only three books, I could probably be persuaded to finish the series this year.
His Dark Materials - I have not read any of these and planned to read at least one this year. Once again, as it is only three books, I could probably be persuaded to finish the series this year.
I would be glad to read any of these with you but I would not be able to start until April as I am already committed to quite a few books through March. Perhaps other folks will want to start Outlander or Red Rising sooner and I could join in when it gets to the books I have not read.
Let's see who else chimes in and go from there!

I wouldn't mind waiting until April then! I haven't read any of them either, a couple months wouldn't make much of a difference :)
I would be interested in continuing for the "full" Mistborn series - Sanderson is quickly turning into one of my favorite authors.As for Bii's long list of series, here's what jumps out to me...
Gentleman Bastard - I've read the first but would be happy to jump in on the later ones.
The Ryria Revelations - I haven't read any of these.
I could start something in February or March (or later) but not January.
This is what I'm reading for January, but I don't know if there would be anyone to read it at the same time, as it is 7th in a series, and I doubt there's even one person on here who is reading the series and is at the same spot in it as I am:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

I'd be interested in reading His Dark Materials. I finished the first book in December so would be interested in reading the 2nd and 3rd books. That looks like May and June which suits me fine.

Hello, I'm new to this buddy read but sounds fun. Would anyone be interested in reading The Cuckoo's Calling in February? As far as series goes, I've been reading The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices. I'm currently on Clockwork Prince so if anyone would be interested in reading City of Lost Souls in February, that would be good too?

I just got a hold of The Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier from the library and am wondering if anyone would like to start reading Book 1 in February? Book 2 and 3 would of course be discussed in March and April.Any takers?

The second and third place books for the February 2017 group read were Uprooted and The Fifth Season respectively. If two or more members are interested, either or both of these books can become a Buddy Read!
I'm definitely up for The Fifth Season, Mary Pat! I've been wanting to read it for a very long time.I've already read Uprooted, so no buddy read for me but would highly recommend it :)
