For my first book, I read A Man Lay Dead, by Ngaio Marsh. Female author, book first published in 1934 - Mom was born in 1933. Needless to say, I wasn't born in 1934!
For my second book, I read The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett. Male author, book also first published in 1934 - Dad was born in 1932, and I was not yet born in 1934.
25.7 - Bluemoon's Task: Virtual Vacation
For my first book, I chose option A and read The Purity of Vengeance. The book is set in Denmark, a real place that I have never visited and that I would really like to visit. The book is set during my lifetime (even the flashback periods for the back story).
For my second book, I chose option C and read Elsewhere. The book is set in Bordertown, a fictional place "between the real world and the world of faerie." It would certainly be an interesting place to visit.

1. ODD NUMBERS – So I know this is going to be a FANTASTIC year for me. See I have this thing about odd numbers, and my favorite is 3. Well this year I turn 33. The stars just have to align for this one to be FANTASTIC. So this time we’re going to honor of all my favorite odd numbers in my birthdate (7/27/1981).
Read a book whose page numbers have at least 2 of the numbers from my birthdate or age (1,2,3,7,8,9)
-->But.....there’s a catch, the page count must end with an odd number (1,3,5,7,9).
-->Duplicate numbers may only be used if they appear twice in my birthdate/age (i.e. 1, 3, 7)
-->The final odd number does not have to be one of the ones in my numbers as long as the other two numbers in the page count are from the list. (aka you could read a book that’s 325pgs, but not 352pgs)
