I finished my September book
Equal Rites (Discworld, #3; Witches, #1) by Terry Pratchett
so glad to finally get back to the series. 4 stars.

Now onto my october book! How is everyone else going?

message 163: by Lexi (last edited Dec 15, 2019 09:57PM) (new)

Lexi | 4247 comments I just heard about this one (Thanks, Karen). I will pick a book a month and go until I get bored.
Edit: I think I will do 6 (6/6)

October 2018 - #416 - Bruno, Chief of Police - 10/28/18 - ***
* My uncle suggested this book a few years ago and I never got around to it.
** I will not be continuing the series.
November - #166 - Children of Time - 11/29/18-****
* 600 pages, I usually do not read ones that long so will need to plan early for it
December - #95 - Air Awakens - DNF
*I've had it on the list for a bit. Not even sure why I added it. I DNF as it was no fun.
January - #404 - Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance - 1/22-****
* Looks fun but odd - 1/22- Was odd but fun and enjoyed the connecting short stories, ended stronger than it started
Februrary - #315 - Lost in a Good Book
* I'm not sure I even remember the first one anymore

Restarting:
May- #315 - Lost in a Good Book - 6/3 (not quite May) - *** - didn't feel like a full book but a set up for future books.
June -#364 - The Immortality Virus
* Rerolling as I cannot get as an ebook while I'm in India
#417 - Early Riser - great choice - 12/10-****
Edit: Now it is August and still need to read this one
December - Finally read it and really enjoyed it.

I'm closing out most of my individual challenges and doing more social ones so calling it good at 6.

My second one is done... kind of... I had to dnf it.And tbh, it probably isn't the books fault. It is just that I got the audio for free from audiobooksync and that is the only reason it was on my TBR... and the narration is just terrible.
Every time he says "*name* said" it just grates on me. The "said" is in the nasally abrupt low tone that is terribly hard to explain and incredibly irritating. I can't do 13 hours of it.
Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant

This month was a DNF. I'm not sure why I added Air Awakens in the first place. The writing is very juvinelle and insta-Romance. Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance is next.
