I have started the book.

Peter Savage, a great character, based in Bend, Oregon.

Where Dave Edlund lives. Sounds lovely.

Amber Martingale My "Christmas in July" jag is over. Won't listen to that playlist again until right after Thanksgiving.

Although the song is almost over, this is what I'm currently listening to:

Rhapsody of Fire ft. Sir Christopher Lee: The Magic of the Wizard's Dream (Italian): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScrK9...

You mean Bend right? It's a beautiful area. There's a great seafood restaurant there and outside of Bend is the High Desert Museum, a great place to visit: https://www.highdesertmuseum.org/

Amber Martingale *screams in utter frustration and barely restrains herself from putting her fist through the monitor*

I am utterly unable to find, anywhere on GR, a copy of the 2014 weight watchers annual recipes for success!

*continues cussing at the screen*

Right now GoodReads is making me go "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" like an old bear suddenly awakened in the middle of hibernation!

go for it...

message 8376: by Gary (last edited Jul 14, 2016 01:27PM) (new)

Gary Sundell | 1191 comments I actually came up with 4
Bob Hope, George Burns, Olivia deHaviland and Gloria Stuart.

Eubie Blake was over 100 when he died, but he was better known as a composer.

Kirk Douglas hasn't quite made it to 100.

Sean Peters | 10540 comments Mod
Gary, a couple more for you

Bruce Bennett, the first Tarzan.

Luisa Rainer , won the Oscar 2 years running lived to 104 years old.

And still alive and going strong

Norman Lloyd at 101 years old, who was in last month's Vanity Fair magazine at his home in his tennis year in his garden... whether he played not sure ....lol

Kirk Douglas will be 100 in December.

Few close to 100..Zsa Zsa Gabor, Dame Vera Lynn,

aged 99 or 98

Marsha Hunt

June Foray

Baby Peggy

message 8378: by Gary (new)

Gary Sundell | 1191 comments I should have remembered Norman Lloyd who was part of the great ensemble on St. Elsewhere.

Jean | 2387 comments And we're whining because the weather guys are forecasting three straight 90 degree days this week with heat indices of 103+...and it's,not even starting until tomorrow! It's what we do in Minnesota. We talk - and complain - about the weather. It's often "too" something - hot, cold, muggy, wet... We've had some pretty perfect days recently though.

@Jean, I was thinking the same thing about the weather here in TN. We are in the 90's all week this week. I'm not complaining after seeing Mike's post.

That's about 86degrees F -90 deg. F ? That's what it was on Long Island this morning when I played. Really steamy. But makes for a great workout!
