Though some are saying the bear with was 'shopped in' that it's fake. Don't know what to believe!

That wouldn't surprise me Janet.

message 8003: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee They broached that idea, but the article I read stated that it was in fact real, the bear came from behind a mountain in the back of her and as she got faster, he couldn't keep up and stopped chasing her.

For on-the-edge adventure sake, I'd like to think it was real:)

Scary stuff!! That's all I know! I saw it first on Twitter and gulped! I'd like to think he just wanted to photo bomb her filming..... :-) But the reality is..... :-\

Scary! It makes me think of that bear attack scene in the Revenant, which was very realistic.

Amber Martingale I never really understood just what the heck "photobombing" actually is.

Brenda | 2434 comments Amber wrote: "I never really understood just what the heck "photobombing" actually is."

Amber, photobombing indicates a photo for example, where someone in the background who is not meant to be in the picture makes a funny face, or an animal inadvertently shows up in the foreground. Things like that.

Amber Martingale Thanks.

I remember one example that happened at Banff with a squirrel or chipmunk that was particularly funny.

LOL?

Look on You Tube.

But a lot bigger table then a pool table (12 feet)

15 red tables and 6 coloured balls.

Pot one red then a colour, then another red, then another colour.

Then pot all the colours.

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Janet wrote: "Well that's good. I'll check my read shelf today, see if things have changed."

Hey Janet, did you get this squared away? If not, make sure you have your reading dates, especially the finished date, in your review box or it will not be counted. Hitting READ button alone won't do it for you.

message 8028: by Janet , Moderator (new)

Janet | 5303 comments Mod
Ok, I'll put a finished date on it because it's still not counting. See if that works. My reading has really slowed down of late. Not even managing a book a week. I got an email today from GR giving tips in how I can achieve my challenge!!

For you that is slow reading.

LOL on goodreads message !

message 8031: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Janet, did you get a message informing you of your total # of pages read so far? I did. 24,911 pages.

message 8032: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Sean Peters | 10540 comments Mod
Blimey, I keep my total here, and I am around, 5,500 pages the most !

message 8033: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Well, I don't have any OTHER entertainment options at home, Sean.

message 8034: by Janet , Moderator (new)

Janet | 5303 comments Mod
Yes, I did, Amber. Can't remember the stats! I never knew GR would be so concerned over my reading (or lack of) welfare!

message 8035: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) At least it's not sending text messages if we haven't posted in a day or two. That's what my pharmacy does if it doesn't think I'm filling my prescriptions in a timely fashion.

message 8036: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale I'd rather get txts about my refills than my GR activity or lack thereof, Kirsten.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) I wish they would let me know....I haven't been reading much at all this year. Just completed one book all year! Starting to get out of my reading funk and joined a local book club. Maybe that will help.

message 8038: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Wow, Lorrea... that would never be me. I am addicted to reading. I don't go anywhere without a book, my kindle, and/or my smartphone.

The funny thing is...I am usually the same way. But I'm not sure what has gotten into me.

message 8040: by Famine (new)

Famine (wolfcreed) Hullo everyone!

April and April 23rd is the official international FOP Awareness dates! This year marks the 10th anniversary of the research teams discovering the gene that causes FOP, so raising awareness and education is a tough ongoing battle!

I suffer from FOP along with my twin sister so its really important for us that people signal boost important awarenessn dates.

I've been away lately from GR erratically due to my health issues, and I've been misssing my groups.

Hi Sean

Just to remind you, ABSOLUTION will be free, starting tomorrow, April 26, and remain free through Saturday, April 30.

Is there a thread for the read along and Q&A? If so, could you point me to it?

Thanks! Looking forward to the Q&A!!

sonya marie madden | 369 comments I just emailed my government because they are fighting to cut services for people with mental illness.

If this was your state, how many people here would be affected? Answer only if you like.

message 8050: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Even one person out on the streets because of idiotic funding cuts is one too many, Sonya, but that's what describes the Republicans: idiocy!
