Melanie, I've watched the entire first season, and season 2 is available starting today. If you like the books, I'm pretty sure you'll like the show. Titus Welliver makes a great Harry Bosch.

What do you think to the new GR layout on desktop, laptops, etc? Mine updated today.

Wonderful! Michael Conelly is currently answering questions on GR and I did not realize the series had started. I asked him when it was starting and would it air in Canada. He answered and unfortunately it currently airs here but only on "Crave TV". Crave is owned by Bell and we get our TV from Shaw. Shaw offers "Shomi", however because the two companies are in competition with each other (and also with Netflix) they all appear to battle it out for exclusivity. So.... I am out of luck for now. It looks excellent. Hoping they release it on other streaming channels or DVD so I can get in on the action. (;

I really don't like change. It seems okay, just maybe if they put a little color in it:)

I am looking at the desktop version on an iPad so it might not be exact. I just noticed something that I think is new...to the right of my screen it says "books mentioned in this topic" and lists links to all the books we have mentioned in this thread as well as links to other places on GR that discuss said books. (That could be a dangerous time sucker for me

I can't AFFORD to watch TV.

Sean: I second what Aymen said about you and your wife.

Janet: I think "They 'fixed' what WASN'T broken!" AGAIN! Just like they did back in DECEMBER!

Groovy: You're "spitting into the wind" asking for color. It'll never happen.

You're right, Amber...

Groovy Lee And I just realized the new navigation bar on top. It used to be when you wanted to go to another forum, you clicked Home and the forums you're a part of would line up. Now that's gone!! Once you're in a forum, I don't know what to click to get out!!

I need things to be easy!!!

Through communication as Facebook friends I am very pleased to say one of my favourite authors has joined the group.

Mark Dawson, and will hopefully be able to organise a Q & A soon.

Could hit, 3, 200 members later today !

Sean and Janet, I hope you are both feeling better soon. :)

Jean | 2387 comments Thanks for sharing, Groovy. Not only is this an unspeakably horrendous crime, but law enforcement typically does not seem to work very hard on behalf of cats. Dogs seem to fare better, but for some reason, cats seem to be lower class creatures. Every cat lover will vehemently disagree.

Yes. far too many people, period.

Sean: Re sciatica: "Been there, done that, got the (bleeping) t-shirt" as my Dad used to say.

Groovy: Because they don't have a conscience? Or maybe they just don't have enough humanity to be bothered.

Heather: Because these so-called "people" have no humanity.

Jean: Maybe it's because dogs have been far more visible in early American history, compared to the cats? Who kept the barns free of rats? Cats and rat terriers...etc. Of course the witch hunts didn't help matters much for cats, either. Re: your statement about the difference in law enforcement attitudes towards dogs vs. cats.

That said, I am NOT a cat lover, though I do NOT enjoy it when I hears of cats being deliberately hurt as these cats were. I DO, however, enjoy it when a cat or dog gets their vengeance somehow.

Janet: Get some sleep, if you can. it can help.

Groovy Lee I'm with you, Amber. I do not like cats at all (please, no emails or letters, or lectures) But I still hate it when they, or any animal, are mistreated.

I'm so sorry that Sean and Janet are so sick they are stuck in bed and are miserable. This is why before spring makes it presence, I build up my system with allergy medicines and Emergen-C. So far it's been working (although I may have just jinxed myself)

Get well, everybody!!!!
