Groovy Lee Contact Goodreads Help and let them know you want to change a book cover on this site. Give them name of book and all pertinent info like ISBN or ASIN number. They will take it from there. That's what I did. And once they do that, there will be a message by your book stating **Librarian's Note** "this is an altered cover edition".

(I had my novel, Under The Harvest Moon's cover changed)

Anne (Booklady) Molinarolo (wwwgoodreadscomAnneMolinarolo) | 181 comments Janet, I'm a GR Librarian.
According to the Librarian Guidelines, we can't change the cover art completely, i.e. swapping out 1 cover for another. But we can add another cover as an alternate cover.

Any one needs something changed, PM me.

Or our Moderators may want to start a topic thread "Anyone with Librarian Status..." That way when someone sees anything that needs correcting, editions combined, additional info to be added, etc. we have a central place to note it. And the Librarians can respond that msg # (1, 7, whatever) has been fixed.

message 7653: by Titas (new)

Titas | 184 comments You can change cover of individual publications, one by one. A GR Librarian has to open the book's page, go to edit details, delete current cover and then upload another cover.

Titas | 184 comments To everyone, thank you very much for all your best wishes! Your little sir is an actual sir now ;)
(Brenda, that is a great link.)

Last Friday I took my first class. I walked in and all the students stood up saying, "Good morning Sir." Damn I came so close to turning around to see who walked in behind me! And later that day I almost fell off the chair when the Principal asked me whether I want some tea or coffee in his room. Boy, that was new!

Thanks Anne and Titas. It's useful info and Anne I'm going to think about what you've said. It would be a useful feature to have.

Groovy Lee Good for Bear. I hope there will be more like him very soon. It just goes to show you that you never know the real person when they're behind closed doors. Who would have thought that a rosy-cheeked, nerd-looking person like Jared, is really a deviant in the shadows--shame...

You're welcome, Janet. Every other group I belong to has a Librarian thread - it is very useful and I'd be glad to help out any time :-)

That's what's always said about sexual deviants and serial killers, Groovy. Just goes to show one how true the old adage "You can't judge a book by it's cover" really is.

We have Martin Link's book Misdirection, which I have sent messages out when it was free.

And also quite a few will be reading a Net Galley book A Girl On Fire.

Hope that helps

Hope you're all having a good weekend. :)

message 7667: by Amber (last edited Feb 01, 2016 09:15AM) (new)

Amber Martingale Eh. It was OK...my weekend, Sean.

Most exciting thing that happened all weekend was my Sunday Bible Study: the fourth episode of a five episode study about Embracing an Alternative Orthodoxy by Richard Rohr. A Franciscan monk... . The fourth episode was called Orthodoxy vs. Orthopraxy.

(I hope I spelled his name right.)

Thanks, Heather.

Well, a rubbish day for me yesterday. Whilst my boy was walking along to school, he was getting ready to cross a road and a van decided to drive over his left foot. Front and back wheels. Luckily two older boys who attend the same school were kind enough to bring my boy. I should say hobble home and it was a mad dash to the emergency department at our local hospital. Luckily nothing is broken just some swelling. Could have been worse.

I don't know if the driver didn't realise or lost control but the van sped off without stopping. :-\

Groovy Lee Sorry about your son, Janet. A van that probably weighs a ton runs over his foot and no broken bones? Wow! That's wonderfully incredible. I'm so glad it was just his foot and you can still hug him everyday. Tell him I wish him all the best!

Diane Lynch (dianedesmarrstlynch) | 306 comments Janet my sons foot got crushed under an SUV's tire on his way to school 10 years ago when he was in 6th grade. Also no broken bones but major injury to his foot itself. Treated it like a burn instead of skin graphs. Boys feet do not break! Sorry that happened to him.

message 7679: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale They got off lucky like that because kids are pretty resilient at things like that. I slipped on wet concrete hard enough to crack my skull over, the week before I started 3rd grade. We'd had our dog for about three weeks. She was sitting my my head, slobbering on me as I , eventually, screamned for Mom and Dad. As soon as they heard me they were both out and getting me set up to go to the hospital. Our city didn't have 9-1-1 in '86 so they drove me.

Concussion. But I didn't leave anything on the ground, other than a puddle of urine...both mine and Buttercup's.

Groovy, just back from tennis, and a great match tonight.

Won with my partner

6-7 6-3 7-6 (winning final set tie break 11-9, we were 6-1 down!)

2 hours 40 minutes. Really enjoyed it.

message 7689: by Groovy (new)
