I really got sidetracked in 2015, lol. I read 182 books and 126..."
Wow, Lisa! 126! But is that the number of books or the number of authors? If I read 3 books by a new-to-me author, I only counted that as one author.

That is the number of authors. I did find some good new authors and yes I did end up reading more of their books:) but I didn't count those.
Did you go into each book to find out of it was a debut for the author?
BTW, I am starting our book today:) I need a break from "real" life horrors in my reading.

Yay:)
On a happy note ...

Sounds like everyday life...
Congratulations, Sean, and happy Anniversary. Where's the party?:)

You're welcome, Groovy.
Anne: I'm more scared of REAL spiders than I am SFX ones...even ones like Aragog.
Brenda: No clue. Sorry.
Sean: Cool!

Sean, I went looking to see how long I've been a member of A Good Thriller. I thought Goodreads must have this noted somewhere. Sure enough, I found it. I joined on March 28, 2014. Thank you to you, Janet, and Autumn for this awesome experience!

Congratulations, Brenda. I'm new to these groups things. I originally used goodreads to keep track of what books I've read and what the next book in a series was.
So glad I took a chance on these groups. Some great people out there!
Nearly 50 members joined this year !
Pleased to say after my health problem in September and getting over bronchitis and pneumonia, today I played my first singles, in 5 months.
Have been playing doubles and mixed, but first singles.
Also played the number one lady in Jersey, and 22 years younger than me, and after 3 hours, she just won.
3-6 7-6 (11-9) 6-3 but I am happy a great game.

Yeah, I'll change the title slightly to fit all individual challenges except the 25,000 page read which has its own thread.

Found it! Thanks Janet :)

Me too! Thanks.
Very sad and shocking news this morning. The legend, David Bowie has passed. Hope Ziggy Stardust rests well. x

I'm shocked. I cared more about his wellbeing than that of my out and out favorite musicians. R.I.P.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it on the news this morning. R.I.P Bowie.

Damn. They REALLY are dropping like flies!

Thanks for the video link. Difficult to watch.

Indeed it was, Pat.

It was David Bowie birthday last week as well.
Any album released only 3 days ago.
Did not know he was ill, and was kept very quite.

Two of the greats, Anne, with unique voices. I enjoyed the clip. I agree about the Lazarus video - it's quite disturbing.

Free book offer to the group! On Amazon Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th.
You read it right. To say thank you to Goodreads for featuring One Man Two Votes, my publisher has agreed to offer the Kindle e-book on amazon for free Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th.
My novel is being featured now on Goodreads. I’m thrilled to have the honor. This group is dedicated to the authors I like best. I have several reviews and readers that think I follow an “early Clancy” kind of styling.

I hope lots of you pick up the free book, read it, and enjoy it.
I want to thank those of you who have read the book. The reviews have been exciting reaching 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon. Lots of reviewers have stated—well let me just copy a couple instead of paraphrasing.
I thought it was well done and cannot wait until the next installment. The story line and characters were great. I highly recommend this book, it reminded me of a Tom Clancy Novel. Keep it up Russ.

What a great read! J. Russ Briley can really write, and he keeps you on the edge of your seat with this political suspense thriller. You'll like the characters; you'll race from one chapter to the next; you'll wish the book was longer; and you'll be ready to read more as soon as the next book comes out. If you like reading John Grisham, you'll love reading Briley's One Man Two Votes.

Andrew,
I never liked David Bowie music, but he was different, loved Freddie Mercury's voice.
That's why we all are different, but two sad loss's

So I have certainly been missing...end of a year, end of a semester with two kids in high school, lots of family gatherings. Other than the part where sometimes I feel like I am repeating high school all good reasons to be busy.
I just finished "The girl on the train"
Just wondering what all,of you thriller readers thought of it?

I think I had so many new to me authors because of NetGalley reads. I know I had a few debut authors, four excellent ones that I can think of off the top of my head, but there were probably more.
