Real life just too ordinary, eh?I believe Christine may offer therapy for the recently afflicted ;~)
Oh My God! You guys missed me!
I'm so happy! *sniff* *sniff*
Happiness aside, I just attended a week long workshop, I have one regional exam ahead, I am about to join as a short term research scholar under a local faculty and my application phase to European Universities (to rope in a chance of doing Doctorate degree abroad) is still going on.
So to maintain my sanity, I have settled myself inside a cave (my room). As soon as I get some time I will be back in my full Epic Empirical Glory of Epic Epicness!

Alliteration aside, my dear Emperor, do come out of your cave more frequently. It is said that sunlight is good for the skin.
Good news,
our own long time member Dave Edlund, who is booked for a read along next year.
Is in negiotations with his publisher to have advanced copies of his third Peter Savage book for his April 2016 readalong.
With also a possibility of also advanced physical paerback copies.
I have a copy to read shortly.
I hope more would be involved in our December Readalong with Robin Burcell.
Great opportuntiy to ask a former San Francisco Police Detective questions.

This 'minimal look' has been gulping everything down ever since Windows 8 introduced a flat-ish look for everything. One after another website, phone app, icon are being changed and goodreads joined them as well. Another relevant example is the hated change of deviantart.com. The vibrant and bright look is missing but the most irritating thing is the font. To all this I've only one thing left to say -

Because no one cares about users' opinions and in a few days, we all just get along with it.

Unfortunately, you're right about no one caring about users opinions and that we'll eventually get used to it.
This year 24 december people will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ , and the birth Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them, they came to teach us to be merciful and to help each other. Peace and happy new year to all of you :)
A beautiful sentiment, Aymen. Too bad too many so-called Christians and Muslims use them in the opposite tendency. Peace and happy new year to everyone!
“I don't care if you're black, white, straight, bisexual, gay, lesbian, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor. If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you. Simple as that.”― Robert Michaels MD - 2007 - Graduation Speaker

What do you mean by "characters" ? O_o
You re right Kirsten many people are doing the opposite and causing harm to the world, they have they re own agenda and try to hide it behind religion and culture.
Aymen wrote: "This year 24 december people will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ , and the birth Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them, they came to teach us to be merciful and to help each other. Peace an..."Actually, Aymen, the fact that there "were shepherds abiding in the same country, watching over their flocks by night," in the Bible indicates that Christ was actually born in SPRING but the higher up in the nascent Vatican moved it to 12/24-5 to eliminate the festivals of Mithras/Saturnalia both of which fell in the days after the solstice.
However, the fact that BOTH Jesus and Mohammed came to teach us about compassion is as valid now as it was then.
Titas: LOL. The' “I don't care if you're black, white, straight, bisexual, gay, lesbian, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor. If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you. Simple as that.”

As well as the part about "What do you mean by "characters" ? O_o"
Aymen (again): It's called "idiocy," and knows nothing of religion or ethnicity. Re: "You're right Kirsten many people are doing the opposite and causing harm to the world, they have they re own agenda and try to hide it behind religion and culture. "
William Kent Krueger fans! This story/essay was published in Sunday, December 20 edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. It's a sad, yet hopeful Christmas story set in the 1960s. Here's the link:http://www.startribune.com/holiday-st...

Very excited for Christmas!! I've been working in retail this holiday season. I'm very happy to be starting my new job after the holidays, I've been having a tough time finding one over the last year but I was happy to have my retail job to get me some extra cash for the holidays. I haven't had anytime to write, so I'm happy to be getting back into that and finally sit down and start proofreading and editing.
Hope everyone has a great holiday! Eat, drink and keep being awesome! :)
Janet, "Ordinary Grace" for sure. Then if you like it (which most people have) you might like his Cork O'Connor series, starting with "Iron Lake"
Idiots in the STAR WARS GEEKS OF THE WORLD, UNITE! group on Facebook are attacking my friend David Wayne Lutz for posting a petition I asked him to post! Assholes. He said " as soon as I posted that petition, the hate comments started immediately.. someone even accused me of using the geeks group as my political playground.. ugh, I'm going to be glad to get the fuck off Facebook.. I'm getting to where I cannot stand to read comments on many of these sites anymore.. so much hatred over things these idiots don't even invest the time to read or understand.. they see they can't stand, it's slam! time.. without thinking it thru... grrr."
Here's the petition he's referring to that I asked him to post: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/469/98...

Groovy wrote: "The four-letter word of the day..."Were you referring to my verbatim copy of my friend David's message to me?
Thank you Pat I just saw your comment, and Merry Christmas to you and all the members who celebrates :)
During this holiday time no matter what religion you may believe or not believe, may peace be with all of you.
I have always believed that festivals are the time to celebrate our similarities rather than differences
I hope everyone has an awesome holiday!!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! Happy Festivus too! ;)
Have a great Christmas everyone. All the best for 2016, and may it bless you with many good books and time to read them.
