Amber Martingale Until it started raining, I'd been looking forward to the Santa Parade yesterday. It got cancelled due to the rain. First time that I know of that happening.

Sadly no market, up at 5.00 dressed in thermals and all...(sexy) !!

But you do need to keep warm, outside all day, although under cover.

But my wife was in so much pain with her broken ribs, we came home.

But the good news was I was able to watch the Davis Cup at home instead, watch Murray brothers take GB 2-1 with one match needed to win the Final.

Britain not won since the 1930's.

Then tonight will watch the boxing I am taping and paying for tonight in SKY Box Office.

Strictly first, then X Factor, then Celebrity get Me Out Of Here, then boxing, then reading!

Christine you will like this one..

On my profile page another young lady (beautiful African looking lady)called Samanda told me how lovely I was and give her my private e-mail !!

Members be aware another scam, the second I have seen in the last few weeks.

Goodreads thanked me for bringing to their attention.

They are either scams for money laundering, or just want to get your private mails to blackmail you etc..

Proud GB !!

AS GB win the David Cup, winning 3-1 in the Davis Cup final today.

We also have a new World Boxing Champion.

Groovy Lee Sean, I didn't know your wife broke her ribs. She is not having a good year at all! Wish her the best for me.

Or worse, they are BOTH, Sean.

Ow. Sorry to hear about her broken ribs. Having bruised ribs in cold weather is bad enough. Having bruised ribs in cold weather AND having accidentally locked yourself out of your apartment so you're waiting for your uncle to show up and take you in for the night's even worse. Happened to me back in December 2010. Hasn't happened since.

I will thanks Groovy !

Amber my wife's broken ribs are one each side, on her side.

Often screaming in pain.

And it's not me before you ask !! LOl

Shows how bad this virus has been for us both

Thanks everyone.

Been a hard 2-3 months, I am blamed at I gave her the virus to start with.

I still have coughing fits.

I use a "wheateeze" heat pads, heat in the microwave for 4 minutes and my wife placed it on her aching ribs and muscles every night. Helps her sleep.

message 7194: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee I agree.

I just started my daughter and myself on Emergen-C (tastes nasty with water, but mmmm-good with a flavored drink) Anyway, I hope I can get through the winter without another bout of bronchitis, or sinus problems.

When are they going to come up with a cure in this 21st century:)

message 7195: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments @Sean - best wishes to your wife for good health. I have had broken ribs, ouch, and she needs to rest and be patient in her movements. In other words, slow down. Ribs heal but really hurts.

message 7196: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Sean Peters | 10541 comments Mod
Groovy,

When I had my nutrition business and website www.jerseyhealth.co.uk, gone now.

I was the first person in the UK to bring Emergen-C to the Uk, and was selling 500-800 boxes per month.

Sold to many sports people, it is the best Vitamin C product, and is true Vitamin C, in otherwords Mineral Ascorbate not rubbish Ascorbic Acid !!

Check your ingredients members.

Worst products are the ones that advertise...

Santogen, Seven Seas, Boots etc...

Getting my wife to take Calcium and magnesium, Glucamine Sulphate, ginger as well.

Sadly it is just time...

Although a diabetic, through family history, I do usually keep myself fit, but also am guilty of doing too much, my mind is always going like mad !!

message 7197: by Diane Lynch (new)

Diane Lynch (dianedesmarrstlynch) | 306 comments Emergen C is excellent. I have a compromised immune system and it really works. Will not make a statement and jinx myself. Figure it out.

Kirsten (kmcripn) We use the zinc supplements in our house. I think it's called Zicam or something. Amazing how well it works.

message 7200: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Sean Peters | 10541 comments Mod
Zinc is good for the immune system, also very important for us over 40's is Co-Enzyme Q 10.

It is the engine that makes all nutrients work at depletes in the body as we get older, and we do not make as easier as when we were younger.
