@ DA, If it makes you feel better, DA, it will take me 42 years to read mine, and I'm not 30, lol. @Perri, I cannot tell you how wildly jealous I am!!!
Christine wrote: "Hmmm, to finish my 2383 books, I will have to live to 112. I wonder if I should cut a few..."You might want to cut down on a few. I'm trying to focus on who I know and have read before and a few less new authors. Can't keep up and time is passing and yes, I know I'll be adding more to the list.
I think I will be saying...."But I can't possibly die yet - I have all these books to read. Just book me in as "overdue" and fine me!"
DianeAlice wrote: "It will take me 26 years to read all my books! Time to cut out the dross and concentrate on the good ones. And never buy another book."DA - I love it!! Cut out the dross! I seem to run into too much of that and need to make it more do-able. And, yes, try to minimize buying.
Perri wrote: "LOrrea-what a fun link! They say I'll finish in under two years, but I only ?!? have around 300 books to read"Agree with Christine - jealous you are so organized with your reading.
Brenda wrote: "For fans of Steve Hamilton who are looking forward to reading his newest book, The Second Life of Nick Mason: A Novel, you need to read this:http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-..."
Really interesting Brenda. Thanks for the post but at the same, oh no, another book!!!
Perri - good plan! I've cut way back on Netgalley. I feel too much pressure with it and my reading is for me only.
Hey guys! It's been a long long time since I popped up here! Well, my TBR is very small, just 193.
PS: I have been off for quite sometime and I just saw that till now I have rated exactly 666 books in goodreads and then I had stopped!
All hail
All hail Science!
Sorry not been on too much, busy with tennis

Good morning everybody. I hope everyone is well. I've just returned from two weeks in Spain where the temperature hit 42 degrees c in the first week so I'm happy to come back to a moderate 20 degrees in Manchester. Time to get some work done I think. :)
Janet wrote: "Morning, Heather! Good to see you survived that heat!!"Thanks Janet. Yes, I'm definitely one for staying in the shade as much as possible especially since I always get a red itchy rash whenever I'm anywhere hot. It's lovely to dip into a tepid pool whenever you feel like it though, and to walk out in the evening without having to wear a coat - ahh bliss. :)
Heather wrote: "Janet wrote: "Morning, Heather! Good to see you survived that heat!!"Thanks Janet. Yes, I'm definitely one for staying in the shade as much as possible especially since I always get a red itchy ..."
I get a rash on my forearms whenever I am in the sun for a long period too!! Which sucks because I like being in the sun and on the beach!! Glad you are back to cooler temps!

Thanks Lorrea. I was glad of the reprieve from the extreme heat until I heard the rain hammering on my porch this afternoon. I don't suppose I'll every be satisfied. 20 - 25 degrees celcius and dry with a light balmy breeze suits me but that's rare in most countries. :)
As of yesterday, while I was brushing my teeth prior to church, I found a FOURTH bone chip in the socket where my extracted tooth was until July 31st.
Hello people well survived the weekend. Cracking time at hockey tournament came home with only one bruise two midge bites and some sunburn! Could have been worse. Ah well time for bed said zebedee
Goodnight
Hi guys! I've got my first interview on Friday, my first in 6 years since I've been off with my children. Bit nervous to say the least!
Congrats on interview!A few years ago I had quite a few interviews when changing jobs. I nailed them all, by practicing answering interview questions. I googled "interview questions" and practiced answering them out loud. I got called back by all of them!
Good luck!
Congratulations, Kimberley, and good luck.Remember all the transferable skills you've acquired in raising children.
Thanks E, David and Sean! Great advice thank you!

You will be great Kimberley! Best of luck!
Kimberley wrote: "Hi guys! I've got my first interview on Friday, my first in 6 years since I've been off with my children. Bit nervous to say the least!"Good luck Kimberley!! I just went through the same thing myself earlier this year. I feel a lot calmer at work then I did home with the kids all day, but a also feel a little guilty!
Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes! xx
I know what you mean Lorrea... I also feel the guilt.. but I also know I have been very fortunate to be able to be a stay-at-home-mum as my partner could support us financially.. but my boys are now 6, I'd like to do something for me.. I'm just applying for a part time job.. I need to be able to take my kids/pick them up from school some times... so hopefully some shift work will work out. :)
Just back, now 9.15 in the evening, back from work 5.45, at tennis 6.00
Nearly 3 hours on court home after a great mixed doubles. Quick tea, quick drop in here then to bed to finish my book, that I only started yesterday lunchtime !!
Just brilliant, number 3 in the Beatrice Rose Trilogy by Mark Dawson !!
Last chapter, one of the best books read ever !!, and also best 3 books !!

My husband worked 2 jobs to support us and I was able to stay home with the kids. My youngest is starting school this year, he will be able to put them on the bus and I will be home in time to get them off. I work 4 days a week for 5 hours a day.
Kim, I just saw your plans to interview! I am very confident you will do a terrific job. Sending you good vibes. XO
