Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Aymen, that is wonderful! I do think your English is as good as most of ours! I would not guess it to be a second language from your posts.

message 6302: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh Wow thank you Christine! It would be good enough if it sounds like my second language since it s my third one, you made my day :D

Aymen, I think dystopias suck but if you like them go ahead and watch them. :) Your English skills are better than those I have seen for many native readers/speakers of English..or at least AMERICAN English. Queen's English, like the English of the Aussies and Kiwis, is an entirely different ball game!

message 6304: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks for your advice Lynn! (Sorry just saw your comment)

We've tried the towel strategy and it worked well... :) I'm a new cat owner so like you said it's all a learning curb!

Amber, My name is Kim thanks, not she.
Also I would take my cat to a professional if I needed to. Was just asking for advice from everyone on here who is experienced with cats.

Thanks for all the helpful comments :)

message 6305: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale I spelled your name wrong four times before I decided to go with "she," on my previous post, Kim. Sorry.

Butterfingers syndrome.

message 6306: by [deleted user] (new)

No worries Amber. :)

message 6307: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh Thank you Amber! you are so kind :)

message 6308: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Kim/Aymen: Thank you.

Aymen (only): I try.

message 6309: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Well, cats are weird, Aaron.

Sharon Mccall note to self - when working out with guys it is not a good idea to try and keep up with the guy next to you! managed it tho finished only 2 seconds behind him :)

Amber Martingale Never heard of Gravol but I know ginger makes my stomach feel better if I don't want my tongue turning black from PEPTO.

message 6313: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Something else that helps with nausea is peppermint (which is probably why Pepto is pink!). I used to always drink ginger tea when I got nausea. Remember, though, if you get acid reflux frequently, you should see a doctor. It could be a sign of something more serious.

message 6314: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale "Bismuth subsalicylate, sold under the brand name Pepto-Bismol, is a medication used to treat temporary discomforts of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, such as diarrhea, indigestion, heartburn and nausea. Commonly known as pink bismuth, it is also sometimes the active ingredient in Kaopectate" from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bismuth...

message 6317: by Perri (new)

Perri | -43 comments I'm good Aaron, just harvested my first green beans from my garden, serving tonite with freshly dug new potatoes and kielbasa -not from my garden...yum!

We can buy Pepto Bismol in the UK. I find that it helps with my stomach problems but I got medication from the doctor this time because I was suffering a lot of other problems too including migraine. I'm starting to feel a bit better now.
I'm glad you're feeling better too Aaron. :)

Yes it is great going in the garden and picking your salad and fruit.

Love Raspberries and strawberries, nearly every night.

We now Lemons and oranges.

Herbs, fruit and vegetables and loads of tomotoes.

Just takes a lot of watering every night

message 6325: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (autumnmemory80) I hope you are all having a wonderful day! After three weeks, I finally got air conditioning back in my apartment! To some that may not sound like a big deal, but in Alabama when it feels like 104 degrees outside, is 70% humidity and is over 92 degrees inside your apartment, you are about to roast!

I also hope you all have wonderful weekends planned. I am going home to see my family, I have been feeling a little homesick lately. I know I just saw them July 4th, but if I had not had prison ministry last Sunday I would have went then too.

message 6326: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Sharon: Yum (except for the rhubarb). Have fun at the gym.

Autumn: Sorry to hear about your A/C problems.

Aaron: I know the Paula Abdul song you meant. *BG* Currently have a metal guitar version of Beethoven's 5th Symphony, 1st movement playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZQu3... This is the same guy who did the metal guitar version of the TOS theme for STAR TREK that I posted to my Twitter feed right after Leonard Nimoy died.

Thanks. It has been pretty aggravating. When I woke up this morning it was 55 degrees because they had lowered the air so much! Oh, well! Like I always say, "I rather be cold than hot!"

message 6331: by Aymen (new)

I am your polar opposite Amber, I would rather be hot than cold!

Enjoy your coffee tomorrow Aymen - it will taste like nectar!

Aaron, I have a friend who will not talk to anyone until she has had 3 cups of coffee in the morning! Staying at her house is an interesting experience.

So busy since last night, had over 40 PM re our Q & A's. Plus lots of requests to do Q & A's from member authors, working on this alongside more established authors.

Lots of messages backwards and forwards from publishers, authors, agents...

Plus just had to watch GB take a 2 matches to won lead against France in the Davis Cup

Only need one match tomorrow, to be in the semi-finals, for the first time in many years !

The very top ones, don't talk !!

Their agents, managers, press agents, managers do.

With Nelson De Mille have had 8-10 e-mails form his publishing company, and his agents ICM.
