Andrew Barrett | 157 comments We had a wonderful storm here in Yorkshire overnight. I found myself outside at 4am watching the lightning. I have a crick in my neck now, hehe.

So true Jean. Our dogs hate the fireworks. The black one, comes to me for reassurance, and the red one just barks. Also had to close all the windows and put the AC on.

message 6167: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Help! I need a detective! One of my favorite groups ... J.D. Robb fans... has disappeared! Does anyone know anything?

message 6168: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee I caught the last five minutes of Hannibal last night. My daughter and I were at the edge of our seats. I thought for sure Jack was going to get it again. That was a good fight, though. We get to see it next week. And it looks as if he's sending Will after him--OMG!

Janet, please don't feel as if you can't chat about it because I didn't want to hear any spoilers. Please dish! But, I think it's getting better, don't you?

Sandysbookaday (taking a step back for a while) (sandyj21) | 5101 comments Kirsten, like at the beginning of all good mysteries - none of us saw or heard anything.....8:D

However, where was it and what time did you last see it?

Who was the last person to see it?

message 6170: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Sean Peters | 10541 comments Mod
Kirsten, there is other groups out there...

I didn't realise....LOL

One of your favourites groups, of course except your main favourite " A Good Thriller"...

Seriously I don't know how a group can disappear?

I cannot believe two weeks have gone !!

Two weeks off work, enjoying the great weather, the tennis, playing tennis, coffee and cakes, gardening...

Then.... WORK Tomorrow... Horrible

message 6172: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Kirsten, you have my sympathy. It's like when your favorite soda or cereal goes out of production. And a very large dose of empathy for you, Sean.

Heather Burnside (goodreadscomheather_burnside) | 385 comments Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I hope work doesn't go too bad Sean.
My weekend was very eventful. We had my daughter's college prom on Friday evening and had eight of her friends and their parents over for an hour beforehand for a photograph session. My son put his dinner jacket on especially so my daughter could have her picture with him.
Then on Saturday we had to take her to the airport for her first holiday with her friends. I'm fretting now as she's only 18 but they're a good group of kids so hopefully she'll be OK. It's like a little practice run for when she goes to uni in September (which I'm dreading).

I do, Groovy. There's hope for this season yet. Last episode was bringing storylines upto date of the key players.

Sounds lovely, Heather.

I have been fence painting and shed painting in the garden. Aubergine and blue. Sounds hideous but actually looks nice. Given the garden some much needed attention and trying to introduce some colour. So we trotted off to the garden centre yesterday and my boy picked out bedding plants to go into pots and planters. Boy did he take his time picking out colours and what should go where. Did he do any of the work?!! Did he heck, not when he can bounce on the trampoline and throw some moves!!! Eldest daughter and I spent the time planting, dodging the storm that came out of nowhere.

Hehe, my husband always volunteers to go to B&Q when there is any work taking place, funnily enough. I'm sure your garden will look lovely when it is finished. The current trend is for bright colours in gardens. :)

lol... I spent two nights with Otto, my 86 pound German Shepherd Dog, attempting to sit on my head. Seriously! Fireworks are not on his fun things to do list. Friday night they had a fireworks display south of camp right on the river. Then Saturday night there was another large display just north of us on the river too. Not to mention all the other campers who were setting off some large displays themselves.
