Years ago you could get close to the players.

When Monica Seles was stabbed everything changed.

Players were of course more worried and carefully.

But I did know the players to go to get close to the players.

Must of the very hot today for the crowds.

They are expecting the hottest day EVER at Wimbledon tomorrow !!

Sandysbookaday (taking a step back for a while) (sandyj21) | 5101 comments i admire your dedication Sharon....you deserve the award!

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Sharon, would you consider putting a picture of your award on your page? Would love to see it.

message 6108: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Congratulations, Sharon.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting divorced! Who didn't see that coming? I saw it when they got engaged. At least they're parting as friends.

message 6109: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee o.k. everyone, I need your input. I signed up for Norton a year ago and it was like 32.00. I just received an automatic renewal and it tripled in price! Do any of you have this type of virus security on your computers? Do you really need them? I'm this close to asking for a refund.

message 6110: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments I also use Norton. The renewal price is always high. If you got Norton initially with a new computer, you can get a bargain price. You can go without virus protection - my son never uses it - but he knows a lot more than me about computers.

message 6111: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments Congratulations Sharon!!! Great job!!!

message 6112: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Thanks, Pat. I just realized my daughter doesn't use it, either.

message 6113: by Sue (new)

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments Hi Groovy. My desktop computer is on all day/night, but I restart it every couple of days, or turn it off if there is a thunderstorm. I use the HP computer products for my home office, because they are easy to use, and last. I do not use Norton, but AVG Internet Security, and have so for at least 5 years. I also use CNET.com for free downloads of all software that you need for your computer. I am using Win 7 but my computer could use Win 8, but I find Win 7 more reliable. Check out CNET.com,(Free Downloads) as this site is fully tested and reliable. You can ask questions from a moderator or email some users and get their feedback.

message 6114: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Thanks, Sue. I'm on my way there. And I agree, Windows 7 is more reliable.

As you say Sharon you do this for your fitness and the enjoyment, but great to receive a reward.

I love doing boxing, did for eleven years.

Now I just enjoy hitting pads, it does realise a lot of stress, doing pads for an hours burns so many calories, and you sweat like mad.

Only have chance about once a week, as always busy with tennis etc..

It's great seeing how hard you work to keep the fitness.

I now know that I have had to learn to rest in between the mas tennis matches.

Sadly a sign of getting older, but I believe I am still doing well.

You are doing great Sharon.

I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security for 4 years and I am very happy with it! Reasonable price and very well service.

message 6122: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Thanks, Sean and Titas. You both give it a good rating. I'm going to look it up.

Is that temp normal for this time of year, Christine? Sounds a bit chilly. We were in the late 80s early 90s here. Hot for UK.

message 6131: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments No, that's chilly here, Janet. Gosh it can be anywhere from 60s to 100 in July, but usually 80ish. June was terrific despite a lot of benign rain. Temps were mainly 70s with some very low 80s. Some years June can be all 60s.

I am going to Canada in October and hopefully the weather will play the game and we can go across to the island. am also thinking of popping up to Edmonton for a couple of days but may rethink that one as the Canucks have a home game while I there too

message 6147: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Sharon, just for irony sake, I'm not trying to plug my books or anything. But one of my novels takes place in Montreal, and the characters cross to an island called Eden's Cove. You just reminded me how much fun I had writing it and living there, if only in my imagination.
