R2: SSS The Only Ones

Read: Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz
Finished: 2/19/14
Rating: five stars
Review:
This book is about a fry cook that sees dead people (among other things). This book was a fun funny read. Has a great twist at the end. that definitely had me wanting to read the next book. Would definitely recommend to any one that likes the mystery or paranormal. But be warn I think you should read the first book before going to different book not a series that you can jump around on

Than again next in series should be completely different - heroine is secret agent. :P

If Diana posts her review and you don't want to wait for me to come back, feel free to roll.

Even if she doesn't post, you can use free pass and roll before going to bed.
*leaving now*
See ya later!
Roll something good! :P

I've PMed Diana, but since I won't be here, I asked her to let Jenne know what's going on.
Teams are still close so one lost roll won't hurt us, but if you want to use free pass (if needed) go ahead. ☺
I know I'll go nuts trying to decide what not to read till Sunday if we skip this one. (It won't be first time. :P) Practically every book I have on reader can fit some space in some way.

There's a Jazz Festival in Lake Eden. Ahhhh.... Jazz, new recipes, a couple of mysteries to be solved. Three of my favorites! But what a name to give a Jazz band, The Cinnamon Roll Six! Strange? I've realized I really shouldn't skip around in this series. To my surprise, Norman is engaged to Doc Bev. What happened? I definitely need to back track. ;) As usual Hannah and her group of family and friends are there to solve the case. Quick read and Funny as ever. :)

Can read a stand alone, first, eighth, or eighteenth in a series, or the alternate of title that starts with n.

I'll be reading

Love that series to Diana : ) the covers always make me hungry though

This was my least favorite Kitty Thomas book. I absolutely devour her books but this one fell flat for me. The characters grated my nerves and I really wanted to strangle them at times. She's still my favorite author when it comes to erotica. This one just wasn't for me.

Review: This was a nice mystery with several mysteries that are solved in the book. This book is very easy to read. I enjoyed the writing style. Also I enjoyed learning about African culture. I will read the other books.

Review:
Hollywood came to Lake Eden! Main Street became the movie set of a film produced and starred by some old college friends of Hannah, Ross(producer) and Lynne aka...Linda (starring actress). Many of the town folks got parts in the film including Hannah's cat, Moishe. The Cookie Jar began the hang-out for the cast and crew. Which kept Hannah and Lisa pretty busy baking treats for everyone including special cherry cheesecakes for the doomed director, Dean Lawrence. What was different in this book is that the murder didn't happened until halfway through.
As for the love triangle between Norman and Mike, it's at a stand still. Hannah has turned down both of their marriage proposals. I don't blame her, she's just not ready to get marriage. Now there's Ross, who has always had a crush on Hannah. Is this triangle going to get bigger?

I'll roll as soon as I'm finished.

I'm not sure if my review is about how much I liked book or how much I liked narrator. James Marsters is doing great job. Book is also great. Typical Dresden. I love him. ☺

Oh, another second on my list. I've read first one few years ago, and forgot about rest.

Wasn't that a point of this game?!

I love Atticus and Oberon! I had audio of this book and it's just great. I laughed through whole book.
OK, Aticcus is ancient Druid who poses as 21-year-old in America where he owns New Age bookstore. Oberon is his dog and Atticus taught him to speak (they do it with thoughts). And those parts are hilarious. There are also witches, werewolfes and vampires (last two are Aticcus' lawyers ☺), few gods, whole mix.
Is it bad that I want us to get 3 on Thu so I can read next one?

Review:
I liked this book. It was a great cozy mystery. The book was about Kelly Flynn who finds her friend dead and her trying to deal with this and trying to find out who killed her friend. This book is a little bit predicable but a fun read no the less : )

Something came up and I won't be near internet tomorrow whole day. I'm leaving home soon after midnight-roll-time and have no idea when I'll be back. So, if I don't roll, one of you has that honor. ☺

I'm gonna need quick read for next one. I'm also busy most of the Saturday. Damn real life!

I was hoping I could go with audio so I can multitask, but they are all wrong number (except Atticus and we don't want that number tomorrow!).

Review:
Wow! What a clever re-telling of Cinderella. In this version, our heroine is known as Lihn Cinder. A smart, fiesty, independent, mechanic in "New" Beijing. Cinder is also a Cyborg, a type of futuristic Bionic woman (part machine, part human). Of course, you still have the evil stepmother and sisters, the prince, the shoe, etc... I loved all the twists and turns in this novel, especially with the plague, the war, the Lunar (Moon) Empire with its evil Queen. A really good read! :D
