I wish. Cause then I'd be rich but unknown and I'd travel the world to all the sites from my favorite books.

And I'd have book butler. And a white-glove library that would travel with me.

*dreams*

But I am a librarian.

Doesn't matter how many copies or how many people ahead of me. Seriously, it's like all those other people on the hold lists are like, "Haha, let's mess with her and cancel all our holds at once."

The funny part is that I'd originally only had 3 or 4 books on hold, but several were being ordered by the library - and those can take forever.

I got to the point where I had near nothing to read, so I put a few more books on hold that should've been available quickly.

And, in fairness, they weren't all on the same day - but they are within a few days of each other.

inorite? Especially a 4 star review. I mean, really.

But I'm just going to avoid her. My TBR is long enough as it is.

And then I slepped Malazan on top of that.

Anything to trim the list to a size that I might be able to dent...

Gerard Quinn | 165 comments I come from a town that has a traveller community in it. What you see in my big fat gypsy wedding is exactly how they celebrate a wedding. They are not being exploited that is how they do it. If you think the weddings are trashy you should see their first holy communion and confirmations

You get a bookmark when you buy a book. I think that's the only way, unless you were a winner of the competition. Who also got a box of books. Drool. I wish I had known about the contest.

I'm not sure when the new ones would start being included with orders, but I've got two books left on my list that are hard to find so I might just get one. Although the last bookmark I got from them disappeared into the four-year-old's clutches.

They show the communions and confirmations too. I just like seeing what blingy dress conconctions they come up with. :)

Reality TV is a palate cleanser for me. When my brain is feeling like mush and I can't focus on reading then I either watch reality TV or catch up on my regular shows. I can only take reality shows in small doses though or at least the trashy ones that's the case. I can watch shows like Treehouse Master, Tanked, House Hunters International and Island Hunters all day.

Found this stressful, if anyone looks into the book they will read my review.. So if they don't like it as much as me it will be all my fault!! *panic*
Lol :)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments Mention of Alice in Wonderland in the 'username/avatar' thread reminded me of a funny thing that happened at work the other day.

I was wearing my Alice in Wonderland skirt and had this exchange with a coworker:

Coworker: Oh, my niece would love that. She's 36 and she still loves Alice in Wonderland.

Me: Why do you say it that way?

Her: What way?

Me: That it's weird to be 36 and still be into Alice in Wonderland.

Her: Well... it kind of is, isn't it? I mean, it's a kid's book, right?

Me: You do realize I'm 35, right?

Watching people try to scramble into a backtrack is hysterical. ;)
