Who's the best character to fall in love with?

But crazy yet devoted seems to get me too, a la Zarek and Pritkin.

Jace Wayland/ J.C Morgenstern(The Mortal Instruments), he’s so cool, I love him.
Edward Cullen. Dream guy, nomore to add.
Jasper Cullen, don’t know why, I’ve just always loved him.
Erik Night from House of night is also pretty nice!.
And soooo many others.

Seth from wicked lovely. The way she describes him about how he is patiently in love with her. When they finally get together I wanted her to just tackle him. The piercing I thought was sexy too.

Okay, I'm going to add Joscelin from the Kushiel trilogy as swoon-worthy. Certainly no one will contradict me there?

The Vampire Shrink ..."
Fantastic, i love blondes! I'll be sure to check this out.
I had completely forgotten about some of the first people i fell in love with; Jean-Claude, Nathaniel, Jason and Damian fr. Anita Blake Series. Which as a reminder the new one comes out tomorrow i believe!

Curran- from Kate daniels series. He's the f'ing Beastlord.
He's totally unusual and awesome. :-)
Z and Rehv from BDB- these are the on..."
LOL Thanks.

I have to say I'm absolutely in love with Hawke from the Psy/Changeling Series by Nalini Singh! He is just scrumpious! (I don't have to say anymore than that!)
Also, I'm very much in love with Quinn from the Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris! His whole attitude, demeanor, and character just sound great. Of course, the fact that he has stripes is another plus!
Next, I love Jacob from the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer! He gets the short end of the stick, IMO, but his character is great, and I love his sarcasm!
Of course now that I have read the first book in the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost, I absolutely love Bones! His quick wit, description, and just the overall man himself leaves me just a tad bit jealous of Cat!
Lasty, I love Zsadist and Visious from the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward! Zsadist has been through so much and he is still strong enough to overcome it. I just want to hug him! With V, I just love an intelligent, powerful, and freaky-sexual male: Who doesn't?

And Louis Cesare from Midnight's Daughter. Sophisticated, sexy, also protective, and VERY focused when pleasuring a woman.
Yum.

Another who could put his (burgundy biker) boots under my bed any time is Acheron. What a man!!!(or god).

Lestat from Vampire Chronicles
David from Uglies

Hmn, have you read all the books yet, Sally?"
Only the last one to read. I like him softer and loving - still strong though.

I have to think about this one.
Bones,
Wrath
Rhev
Maddox
Reyes
Shade
Barrons
All the Breed Boys
I think I could go on forever

Aww, I'm a sucker for Shane as well. ;)

Sally, I haven't read that one yet either! I liked him better with some edge. ::shrug::
Makes me think of another...Valerius. Oh, how I adore that man!
oohhh Eric--another Eric fan. :o)
Also Bones (LOVE the accent I hear in my head when I'm reading that series)
Ok, I admit--he isn't PNR, he's UF, but I do have a thing for Harry Dresden.
Also for Adam, Charles, Bran and Samuel from the Mercy books. Also David, who appears only in the first of the Mercy books and the short story in Wolfsbane and Mistletoe. David is a man who carries a lot of guilt (over ripping his wife and her lover to pieces during his first change) but who has somehow managed to find a way to live with himself AND help others at the same time. Also, Sam is so wounded from his long life that I find myself wanting to cuddle him and go "there, there, it'll be all right" and treat him like he was about 3 instead of 1300 (or so)
Well that's a few more than 5--but hey, it IS only from 4 different series. :o)

My top 2 are as follows, and by no means do I prefer one over the other, they are in alphabetical order.
Bones (Crispin) - Night Huntress Series
I admire the fact that he's been a whore, literally, and he's proud to admit it, but not too proud to claim how much Cat has changed him for the better.
Po - Graceling
He's gorgeous, conceited, and talented. What stands out the most is his selflessness and love for Katsa. I love Po and look forward to reading more about him.

I'm with you there, Shazzy!

Oh yeah PO is so HOT, I just hate the fact that she wrote a prequel and then we have to wait another year or more for bitterblue or whatever for more of po and kasta.

Ha! I'm with you on the Prequel. Total WTF moment when I read what Fire was about. I want to change my name to BitterKaren for that one.

My favorite is Eric Northman, but Jean-Claude and Bones are right up there. *drools*"
I agree. I do not know why but Rehv got me as anti hero kind.
I do not know if I can mention the Cassandre Palmer serie here, Mircea is something....but I must confess that Pritkin grew on me so fast. I went from hating his guts to liking him. I just love when authors manage to turn our character preference around.
Sorry I know he is not a vampire...

I can't forget Adam from Mery Thompson stories.
And I'm sad and embarrassed to say it but from Anita Blake series I'm on Richards team.

Richard?! Wowsah.
He's certainly yummy looking, Jessica. Maybe if he kept that nice mouth shut...

I loved Po! Did you read her new book Fire yet?

I just discovered the Jaz Parks series. Jasmine and Vayl have not had any yet and I am on book 5! Jaz is such a cinical wakko, can't stop laughing every two pages.
“We could always kill somebody,” I suggested. “Are any of your old girlfriends still alive?”
Abybody mentionned the gorgous archangel Raphael and Elena from Nalini Singh'Angel blood?
Oh yeah, V is on the list too...I forgot.
"Now say the words I want to hear."
What were they? "And then what… V?"
Yum

V from BDB
I've got a thing for those V named guys.
Curran from Kate Daniels
Also have to add
Jean Claude
Bones
Eric Northman
Rehv
Kisten (the one book I cried over)
Adam from Mercy Thompson

And I do have a soft spot for Z too. "
OMG! I so love Bones!

Morrison from C.E Murphy's Walker Papers: Urban Shaman
Sergei from the Retriever's Series: Bring It On
Adam from the Mercy Thompson world - Moon Called
Sam and Eric from Sookie's world
Parno from Violette Malan's series: The Sleeping God A Novel of Dhulyn and Parno
Vayl from the Jaz Park's series: Once Bitten, Twice Shy
Joe from the Gordath Wood books: Gordath Wood
Gabriel Sullivan from Gabriel's Ghost and Shade's of Dark: Gabriel's Ghost
I'll cut myself off here :)

Curran- from Kate daniels series. He's the f'ing Beastlord.
Z and Rehv from BDB- these are the only two brothers that get me going. I loved their stori..."
No Adam from the Mercy Thompson series? You can't have Charles but not Adam! :)

Finally! I am vindicated! It seems like no one has read that book! Or if they have, they don't like the girl.

If by "same," you mean they're all strong, smart, sexy (to the heroine at least) and steadfast, I don't think that's a surprise, since the alternatives (weak, stupid, revolting, and fickle) would be... less than inspiring.
Although now that you set the challenge out there, I have to admit I'm intrigued :)
For epic love, I might go with C.L. Wilson's Rain
King of Sword and Sky. Is it wrong to admit I find it unbearably romantic when a hero is willing to scorch the world for his woman?
Also, Anne Bishop's Daemon Sadi Daughter of the Blood who will wait an eternity for his queen.
