I love him too! I wish we could see more of him...

Good God, yes, about Eric. But everything he says is titillating.
Just finished Death's Mistress last night and I have to re-vote for Louis-Cesare. Gorgeous, fierce, with a talented tongue and skillful fingers, and so sweet and vulnerable at times. Like Dory says, he's a delicious study in contrasts. He's swoon-worthy.

I married a guy with callused hands. :D

N_U, I have yet to read Mercy #3 but I heard that there's little to no Stefan there. Do we get to see him later on?

I loves lestat also, but I hate that the anne rice vampires cant get it up

Roarke is a good one. I concur! I love shady I..."
--I love shady Irish and Britishmen. :)

Devyn from Seduce the Darkness by Gena Showalter
Reyes from Gena's LOTU series
and
SYN from Born of Fire by Sherrilyn Kenyon...ghast, damn it I love that man.
I'm sure my list will only continue to grow. Yay!

There are some new men being mentioned, ones I haven't heard of before! Must investigate...

Joan, the BDB is short for the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. It's about a brotherhood of vampires defending their race against vampire hunters. It originally started out a PNR series but has gotten more and more urban fantasy along the way.
Everything about the books is intense, so are the men in it. That's why they're always listed as hottest, most intriguing, sexiest, etc.
I started the series quite reluctantly but I ended up loving it. Seven books out till now, number #8 coming out in April.

Here's a list of UF series I like (with very little sex in it):
Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
Mercy Thompson series by Patrica Briggs
Alpha & Omega series by Particia Briggs (PNR/UF)
Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong
The Hollows series (Rachel Morgan) by Kim Harrison
And have you read the young adult series written by Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr? I don't read YA-series but I've heard these are pretty good.

Hum, I don't know about the Women of the Other World series--at least not the first one. Not sure its entirely appropriate for a 13/14 year old.
Have you read Patricia Wrede's "Enchanted Forest" series? The first one is Dealing with Dragons. This one might (or might not) be a tad bit juvenial for you, not totally sure of your reading level.
Check out Tanya Huff's Summon the Keeper series--this is humourous and not exactly PNR--but not exactly UF either. There are 3 books in the series, the 1 I listed being the first. Well, actually check out any of Huff's series--they are usually UF, and not all are funny--some are serious, but they are not really "scarey" more mystery with PN elements.

I just finished Shiver, which reminded me a lot of Twilight. It's got a great romance story, and the one bedroom scene is not explicit at all. I don't think your mom would mind it at all. :)

:)
But most of the stuff we're mentioning...Mom might not be so happy!
The books Mel lists are good ones also.

I loved all the "Vampire Academy" books by Richelle Mead--this is her YA series and it's great--romantic, but not explicit. "Evernight" by Claudia Gray, "Graceling" by Kristin Cashore. They all have elements of PNR, and wonderful stories. My teen daughter is in our local library teen book group, and brings home all kinds of good stuff to share. She's just finished "The Olympians" series by Rick Riordan (movie to be released soon) and she loved those too. She went out and bought all the books, so I get to read them next.

I'm so on board with Eric though! I love him in the books and can devour him on the show.

Yeah, I love Joe, too (kinda felt dirty naming them both) like Edward and Jacob.
I plan to start Destined for an Early Gravetonight, I don't want it to end.

I love BONES, Z, Rhage..........Jamie Frasier
