Michelle M--Mike has been my main heartthrob since I was a girl of 14. Which, when you think about it, might have something to do with what I studied in school (Computer Science.) I wanted to have a chance at finding a Mike of my own.

Um, for those who aren't into SciFi--Mike's actual "name" is High-Optional, Logical Multi-Evaluating Supervisor, Mark IV, Mod. L--a HOLMES FOUR--but he's alive--and convinced that he's really Mycroft Holmes (Sherlock Holmes smarter, older brother.) So, periodically I have to stick up for my "man" on the best character to fall in love with. :o)

However, I also love Eric Northman, Bones, Angel (ok, come on, I know he's from TV, but really, who wouldn't love him, right?) the Beastmaster, Cormac, Barrons. . . Ok, I just love handsome, strong men who try to protect those that they love. (And yeah, Eric DOES protect those he cares about.)

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments Who is Roarke? What book is he from?

Maryann | 9 comments Andrea wrote: "Who is Roarke? What book is he from?"

Roarke is from J D Robb's In Death series. And his luscious self is in at least 27 books now.

message 458: by Maryann (new)

Maryann | 9 comments Given that most of these guys have great bodies and great faces, I like great wit and smooth seduction.

I love Vishous from BDB. I just finished Lucian Argeneau's book and I love him too. I was looking forward to reading his book since A Quick Bite.

message 463: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments Stephanie, Lucian's book is my favorite. I think it's the funniest of all the Argeneaus!

Mel (mel_b) | 1188 comments Roxy, you can press the link in Nita's post for more info, but in short: it's about an English woman in 1945 who accidentally gets back sent in time (1793) and ends up amid a Scottish clan, one of the guys being the magnificent Jamie.

Michelle M. wrote: "Stephanie, Lucian's book is my favorite. I think it's the funniest of all the Argeneaus!"

This is my favorite scene of Lucian's book and of the series so far at least:

"Hello?" she said to his groin...

"Are you talking to my penis?" Lucian asked with disbelief.

"It talked to me first," she said defensively, and frowned. "You didn't mention this little skill."

Lucian decided she must be joking and laughed. "So, what did it say?"

"It said, 'Lucian? Lucian, are you there?"

He blinked. "Why would it say that?"

"I don't know. It's your penis".

That's when he recalled the cell phone in his pocket.

HaHa, I remember that scene. The entire series is funny.

message 473: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments Lucern is the other one that had me in tears. Oh, the codpiece malfunction.

message 474: by [deleted user] (new)

Heather wrote: "OK, which book is this? A talking penis, now that's a first.."

It is from Bite Me If You Can which is book 6 in Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series. It is a good one. It is light and funny and quick reads. I'm alternating between that series and another so I don't get burnt out on it

message 475: by [deleted user] (new)

Michelle M. wrote: "Lucern is the other one that had me in tears. Oh, the codpiece malfunction. "

Haha ya that was great too. I also thought the whole condom scene was great

message 476: by Angela (new)

Angela (angbens) | 343 comments I LOVE Vishous and Rehv (BDB).

message 477: by Heather (new)

Heather | 243 comments Do you have to read the entire series or can you read them as a stand alone? I don't know if I can read 5 books before this one!!

They're pretty stand alone, if you want them to be.

I would actually start with Single White Vampire (Argeneau, #3) by Lynsay Sands . That's the third book. The first two are cute, but middling.

message 481: by Storm (new)

Storm (stormgerlock) I'm reading Evermoreright now and Damen is pretty hot. But I'm not sure if I like him... It's confusing but he's def hot.

Hey, I LOVE the scene in A Quick Bite where Lissianne walks into her bedroom and finds a naked man tied and gagged on her bed. I mean, come ON. . .

I've read (and loved) all of the books in the series. Altho I have to admit--my fav character IS Margaurite. I mean, a Mum who wants what's best for her children--to the point where she goes out and kidnaps prospective mates for them? Or, in Lissianne's case, a shrink to cure her of her pathological fear of blood (which, you have to admit is a GREAT fear for a vampire.)

message 483: by roxy (new)

roxy brown (roxy_) | 50 comments im reading dark visions... it is VERY VERY good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh

message 484: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments Ann, I think Marguerite is fabulous whenever she appears, and who wouldn't want a man-gift? I liked A Quick Bite. But, I also know a lot of people have read it first and have been disappointed. I think Lucern's story is the first one that's completely well-rounded and showcases just how hilarious she can be. Liss' story can drag at times, so it's maybe not the best for getting a new reader completely hooked.

It's worth it for Marguerite and the younger cousins!

Oh! Lists are good. I believe I put a list of guys somewhere back in this conversation. I just had to add Jamie. You picked some great guys for your list. I haven't gotten to Valerius' book yet in the Dark Hunter series. I have Vane's book next to read.

ya you don't need to read them in order but it helps I think. It gives you more information about the other characters and sometimes there are inside jokes that you wouldn't be able to get if you don't read some series in order so I always read my books in order. Well I try to at least so I'm in the know :-)

message 487: by Qylie (new)

Qylie | 39 comments Acheron - Dark Hunters --- would be by far my number 1!
