The first half of this was a tad slow and I didn't connect to the characters, the last half really picked up and I found myself having a hard time putting it down. It was a pretty steamy read and by the end of the book I had connected to the characters. I typically read dark erotica and this was a little different than that, more of a contemporary meets erotica. If you're in the mood for a book that's hot without an emotional overload I'd recommend this one.

Review

I'm not sure I can give a coherent review of this book because all that is going through my mind is "I loved this book so much!" Everything I love about this series is present: action, humor, Curran (although I did want to punch him occasionally). I finished the book immediately wanting to start it again, which says more than anything how much I enjoyed it. I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

Review- I don't know what's been going on with the universe lately but I think this is a sign that I need to read more contemporary YA novels!!! This was such an amazing book, and I'm really hating that it wont have a sequel or anything because I honestly just LOVEEEEEE the charries.

Sara and Sam are yet another example in the literally world of characters that are/were absolutely perfect for each other. And not only the charries make the book so wonderful to read--the plot alone...man. Let me tell ya.

I wasn't expecting this book to be bad, but I wasn't expecting it to be so absolutely marvelous either. I'm soooo glad that I signed up for the blog tour for this book. it has made me appreciate the unexpected people and events I meet and go through, respectively, in my life. Definitely another favourite of all time and of this year.

Does it have a quote with an actual "HOT" beverage? Tea is one of those iffy things that could be drank hot or cold or even in this case I think it is just referring to the leaves.

Review:
I enjoyed this one a lot. I really liked the characters and the romance was believable. Ms. Harper's quirky writing is refreshing! What a nice break from the intense and let me tell you the ending shocked me, didn't see it coming! I really want to read her Jane Jameson series now that I've gotten to know them some in this book. Definitely recommend these to anyone who's in the mood for a light, quick, and entertaining read.

I went with (view spoiler)[ The Sweet Scent of Blood - I just got to the part where she is at Declan's bar - has met Fiona and has found out that Melissa is part fae and she probably isn't going to get out of *helping* the vampire.

This is all at 30% in. I feel like I need to make a chart to keep everyone straight,lol. I'm pretty sure I missed something in the scenarios I just wrote about as well. Hoping it will get better without my head exploding!?! It is kind of reminding me a of another UF book I read with too much in the first book to set up the rest of the series. Second book was slightly better and I've never read more. (hide spoiler)] No worries though, it's not terrible - just confusing. I've read way worse.

Wedding planning has kind of consumed my after work life for the past month, so I haven't been able to get online as much at night as I used to. I'll be so glad when things calm down, lol.

Melissa I had the same problem with that one. It was info dump and by the middle of it I still had a WTH is going on moment? It does tie up nicely but it takes a minute getting there. I also though was pretty burned out on fae books when I read it.
