Review: Loved my re-read as much as the first time around. Jules head crackin mamma jamma is a hoot. Vance was awesome and patient with her. Several great scenes in this one. Several LOL moments with the Denver hot bunch and ladies who love them!


Ball: p 228 "You really flip Jermaine on his back and kick him in the balls?" she whispered.

Elbow: p 104 He was on his side, up on an elbow watching me.

Planet: p 406 "....luckiest boy on the planet."

Native American: p 10 Damn, but he was good-looking Native American coloring, straight, black hair pulled into a ponytail at the back of his neck.

Gift: p 48 ...swaggering jerk who thought he was God's gift to women.

Review

Another great addition to the In Death series. I loved every minute of it of it! In this installment, someone has murdered a prominent reconstructive surgeon, and Eve is on the case. The story starts off strong with a haunting prologue and never lets up throughout the book. As usual, there are moments of humor interspersed throughout the story, which is one of my favorite things about this series. Peabody remains my favorite character and she has some great moments in this one. The other side characters don't feature much in this book. We see a little bit of Feeney and McNab, but for the most part, it's just Eve, Peabody, and Roarke. Not a bad thing, but it's something I thought I would mention. I can't wait to read the next book and have already requested it from the library.

So far it's hilarious! The author strategically places f bombs in the most appropriate places lol. At the start they're picking out their weapons from the van and she compares her hubby to Vanna f%#*+^g White. I was lmao so hard.

Review: I really enjoy this series and the characters. I always enjoy spending time in the world that was created for Gin and her friends. That being said this is not my favorite of the series. A new rival has come to town ~ Owen's old flame. Let me just say that I think Owen is an idiot and spent most of this book in a "stupid male" fog. I'm hoping he redeems himself.

Baby: p181 "Cooper and Kincaid told him all about what you did to his baby sister."
Moving truck (vehicle other than car): p172 The giants, the moving truck and the van I'd seen near the bottom of Cooper's driveway.
Egg:p127 I made chocolate chip pancakes, smoked maple bacon, cheesy scrambled eggs.....
Grass:p117 .....Mab walked across the grass toward him.
Pie:p34 "....and a slice of that cherry pie in the cake stand."

I have them on my iPad between Nook or iBook format - depending on what was less $$. Not sure what will happen in the next one. Did you find this confusing (view spoiler)[ I was completely baffled on how Gin kept saying to herself that she "got" his actions and was "ok" with how the whole thing played out. I seriously wanted to throw my iPad while reading.
Clue in dude you thought your sister was lying to you or "just really didn't remember" what happened for the last how many years?!?!? You "saw" what she was doing to Cooper after you accepted what happened to your sister all those years ago and yet when you talk with her alone you still offer for her to leave the city and never comeback. You wonder why Gin didn't think you would do the right thing in the end. Bringing up Donovan pissed me off too ~ because really if the roles had been reversed and she had found out about him what Salina had done Eva - Donovan would have been dead by Gin. Not sure if you are up to the most recent book in the Kate Daniels/Curran series but this one reminded me of that one on so many levels. almost as if the authors were in each others heads while they were writing. (hide spoiler)]

Let me tell you this is the best zombie series! It's so funny and there are tons of lol moments. I don't recommend reading these with people around you because they might think you're crazy lol. In this installment Dave and Sara have headed down south for the winter. They've become so good at slaying the undead they've started up a business. There were some touch and go moments in this book that had me praying it would work out for the best. You can't help but love Sara and Dave and the snark and banter is perfect. I really want to dive into book 3 like right now.

Review: A MAY ZING. Wow. Besides being ridiculously funny, it was kind of a self help in the way of saying "don't do all that stuff just to get a guy's attention." I'm really glad that I decided to do this book tour because otherwise I would've missed out on LOTS of wonderful hilarious LOL moments :)
