Book: Crash by Nicole Williams
Finished on 21/9/2013
Rating- out of 5? 5. Out of infinity? Beyond.
Review--- Oh. My. Gosh. Goodness. First, thank you sooooo much to Nicole Williams for taking the time to write such a wonderful story. If you ever get the chance to read this, I want you to know how very much this series has been destined to mean to me.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me clarify that I've never had anything overly traumatic happen to me in my life like Jude and Lucy have, but man. This story just pierced my heart so much! There were the "Lucy you're so stupid" moments and the "OMG. Just stop talking and go back to kissing" moments, and even the "why isn't Jules real and in my life" moments. The book was so heart-wrenching, but in a good way. I felt like I WAS Lucy sometimes because it was written so well, and I know I absolute LOVEd it because I didn't put it down at all today once I started it. Except for when I was driving haha.
But yeah, "moral" of this review? Read the dadgum book if you already haven't. I bought the sequel, Clash, before I had even reached the end of the book because I knew I was going to want to rush right into it. However, I'm going to make myself live through some suspense for once and hold off. I'm sure the universe will know when I've finished it, though :).
DOG - "salivating like a rabid dog" page 7
HAT - "wearing a beanie cap" page 62
EGG - "after lacing his eggs with some hardcore narcotics" page 275
BEER - "a guy who almost spilled his beer on me" page 272
BONUS: EMERGENCY VEHICLE - "he evaded like a hundred police cars" page 162

I'm a little more than halfway done with mine. Should be done tonight or tomorrow depending on reading time.

Review
As usual, J.D. Robb does not disappoint with this installment of the In Death series. One of the things I love about this series is how we see Eve evolve from a loner to someone surrounded by friends. With this book taking place around Christmas, it was fun to see Eve awkwardly handle the giving and receiving of gifts. The case this time around was interesting as well, with Eve trying to solve the murder of her former foster mother, a woman who severely mistreated any girl who came under her care. The pace of the book was fast, which is always great. I'm looking forward to the next one!!

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed my re-read of Mace and Stella's story. This would have been a 5♥ read for me but Mace did the one thing that pisses me off entirely. He "broke up with Stella as a test" - which happened before you ever get to this book so not a spoiler for those who haven't read this series. Point taken off for being a complete idiot. Even with that I still love Stella and Mace together. So many demons for both of them to face alone and together ~ her parents, his Dad, what happened to his sister. Lots of high emotions in this one. As well as trying to find Sid and his soldiers. Loved Daisy during this - the whole scene with 'Smithie brought donuts to a Southern woman's house" cracked me up. Stella and her music. Almost felt like I was at her one of her rock concerts while I was reading it. Last, but not least did I mention Stella has an awesome dog. I'm a total dog person!!
Dog: p12 I shot upright in my huge, super king-sized bed and my Saint Bernard, Juno, who was lying full out.....
Emergency Vehicle:p17 By the time I got there so had the ambulance and the police.
Rabbit: p1112 "What? Where?" Tod asked, jerking his head around, looking at the floor as if he'd been told to capture an invisible rabbit in the room.
Fireplace: p54 He, and I, entered a big room with a beamed cathedral ceiling, a massive fireplace and loads of studded leather furniture.
Soldier: p921 They're bringing in Sid's soldiers.

Roarke is definitely one of my favorite male characters ever! I really love the audio for this series and find myself able to hear the narrator's version of the characters' voices even when I physically read the book rather than listen to it, lol.

Hat: M
Fireplace: Z, SA, & J
Costume: M
Soldier: Z, SA, & J
Pie: Z
Beer: M, SA, & J

I'll see if I can find hat and costume for this week depending on what is called.

This one was great! Full of nonstop kick butt Spider action. Gin really took on a big mess in this book. And the last part of it had a moment I've been waiting a long time for! This really is such a unique series and there's not another one out there I could compare it to. Ms. Estep does a fantastic job of not conforming to the cookie cutter books we see so often in paranormal reads. Can't wait to read the next installment!

I think she may have missed Z's post at #152 for this week. She has Steph Ann and my words posted. Just an FYI

Thanks and no worries. With all the posts you have to go through it's easy to miss.

I'm so ready for new words tomorrow!"
No problem. Hoping Mr Randomizer will be nice tomorrow

That's what I'm doing. Glad you liked Deadly Sting - wasn't my favorite of hers. Try to get Owen's novella before you read the next one. Kiss of Venom ~ slightly helps with where his (view spoiler) head is at

I can claim coffee, tornado, bikini, soldier, and vacation.
If we don't want to claim vacation yet it also has gold, flower, mom, or tree for spring.

I hope you like it! It was pretty action packed IMO.

Review: This is my first work by Miss Caine and may I say "why did I wait so long?!" This book just sucked me right in for the ride. Interesting fantasy book revolving around Weather Wardens, Demons and Djinn vs your regular vampire/shifter/witch fantasy. Joanne Baldwin is a Weather Warden and she can control the Wind. Her immediate boss has royally screwed her over and then died. She is searching for Lewis, the most powerful Weather Warden out there to help her with her predicament. Add and Demon Mark, other Wardens out to take her back to jail and a Djinn who she is unsure whose side he is on. I couldn't put the book down. I ignored many things to finish this book and find the answers. I will definitely be continuing this series.
Hot Beverage:p28 ..the other ranger said, handing Mom and Albert steaming cups of coffee.
Bad Weather: p300 The storm was testing me. I chopped through the top of the baby tornado by freezing the air molecules. The sucking updraft lost force, and the dust funnel flew apart.
Swimsuit: p63 ....a chance to indulge myself in the quest for the perfect bikini, and I was feeling confident that I'd finally mastered at least one of them.
Vacation: p15 Girls whose biggest aspiration was to get a secretarial job at Smith & Barney and vacation with their bosses in the Bahamas....
Beer: p16 Like everyone else standing around at the party, I was frozen in shock, cold beer in hand.
