Jessica Started and keep putting aside the hard copy of The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. Definitely intend to finish it. Hard copies always seem to get pushed aside when I have library books with a return deadline.

Started Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell yesterday. I enjoyed her novel North and South. This is a 1001 Books group read so more people may be posting starting it.

Huh. I read this last summer and I don't think I realized that it was on the 1001 list. Anyway, this was a pretty unsettling read, but I could not put it down. I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

I read it about 30 years ago, and at the time it was one of the best books I had ever read. I wonder what it feels like now. I will read that and one more before The Dispossessed in May.
