Our daughter is a fan and has been nagging me to read this one for about eighteen months :)
It's the quick or the dead around here. haha

Libriomancer has been sitting on my coffee table with a bookmark in it for a couple of weeks now. I was enjoying it but got distracted by a visit to the book shop, and have read half a dozen other things in the meantime, most notably Rachel Bach's Paradox trilogy (first one is Fortune's Pawn). If you like space opera, they're great fun.
I began reading Sophie's Choice by William Styron a few days ago. So far I'm loving the writing - learning lots of new words - and the story is developing at a nice pace.
I've just finished Us and like Marianne, I thought it’s absolutely fabulous. Hilarious, and sometime sad, and if you’ve been in a relationship/marriage with the same person for over 20 year, you’ll find some aspects of the book surprisingly relatable and honest. I've given it 5 stars.

Not as yet but will post it here when it's done.
It's LOL hilarious Brenda. Don't read it in public though, those funny bits will sneak up on you, and won't be able to stop laughing :)
Currently reading The Mirk and Midnight Hour. It's a YA book based on the Tam Lyn legend, set in the south during the American Civil War. It's quite good :)

A Man Called Ove Michael:) A fantastic book!
I just finished reading the other two books in the trilogy of THE STRAIN & they were just as exciting as the first book. Even though the books are close to 500 pages each I read them like they were only 100 pages long! That's how good the suspense is in them. I've been a fan of Guillermo Del Toro for some time now but of his movies & this is a first time for me to read something he's written. I give him a 5 star rating. Now I'm finishing up a book by Ann Benson titled, THE PLAGUE TALES & it's a very suspenseful tale! it jumps between the 1300's & modern day with ease & I find myself rushing on to the next page to find out what's happening with the different characters in their day & age. It's a great read you don't want to miss out on. Does anyone know a good Aussie Mystery book?

Set about and "organised" my bookshelves today - which amounts to buying a new bookshelf and making sure my books fit, and getting rid of a bunch of older stuff from the library or Savers etc.Still not happy with it :/ wish I had one big bookcase rather than five smaller ones.
