Oh good! I'll be checking out your review before I buy it. I've seen mixed reviews so far but I enjoyed The Cuckoo's Calling when not everyone did so I am tempted.

Elaine and I read The Cuckoo's Calling for our buddy read for the winter challenge and I enjoyed it. I felt J.K. Rowling's writing was better in The Casual Vacancy, but this was a less confronting read than that was.

Just finished An Incomplete Revenge by Jacqueline Winspear and I didn't include it in the July challenge because these are usually cosy sort of mysteries, but this one had a rather chilling crime hidden in amongst of its gentle pace. 5 ★s
