Shame on you for culling an Aussie author, Brenda. Lol
Sharon wrote: "Started reading Bereft by Chris WomersleyOnly read a couple of chapters and I'm already enjoying it :)"
I just started this one yesterday - I'm not even a couple of chapters in, I don't think (it's been a busy couple of days!), but I'm also enjoying it so far and looking forward to getting further in.

What a coincidence we are reading it at the same time. I think it's going to be an interesting read :)

I really liked this book Sharon
I have finished & reviewed Falling by Emma Kavanagh - 5 starsReview https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
And I've just started Ruby: A Novel by Cynthia Bond
I've also finished Until You're Mine by Samantha Hayes - 4 stars - Will post review on 15/4
Dale wrote: "I'm reading The Lost Child Love the cover on this and interesting reading so far."Actually, Dale, I have a problem with the cover. I think it is photoshopped, as the I don't think you can have deep water and little waves like that in close proximity. The small waves indicate shallow water.... looks nice but I don't think it's real.

I just bought this so I 'm looking forward to what everyone thought. I love the cover too. Does look very evocative even if not exactly true to nature.
I just finished Cutting for Stone which did not really do it for me!
My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Now at last I can start Concealed in Death. Hooray!!!

30% through My Place by Sally Morgan and about 20% through A Fortunate Life by Albert B. Facey. Both are Australian autobiographies and are both so far really interesting reads.

Been reading Animal Farm by George Orwell. We never studied this in English at school so I have finally got round to reading it. Thoroughly enjoying as well. The surface level message makes it a great read for all ages, but the underlying message typical for an allegory makes it all the more interesting. The author has a great to the point style of writing.
Just finished the Wrath of Angels by Kohn Connolly. Currently reading A Dance with Dragons and Silver Wattle. I've had Silver Wattle on my shelf for a while and only just getting around to reading it. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. Makes me wonder what took me so long to start.

I remember reading Animal Farm by George Orwell for school and not liking it that much! Probably would be a lot different now!

The Wrath of Angels by John Connolly
A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin
Silver Wattle by Belinda Alexandra
Elizabeth you didn't mention authors for the second two - are they correct as especially with A Dance with Dragons as there are several.

I am about 70 pages into The Black Echo by Michael Connelly.I've never read any Michael Connelly. I don't quite know why because I'm rather enjoying The Black Echo.

How are you going with this one, Sharon? I found it turned decidedly odd around about p200 and went downhill from there!
Finished Outlander by Diana Gabaldon; wow, 4.5★Started Peaches for Father Francis by Joanne Harris
Breathlessly waiting for April 4 when Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander #2) becomes available at library.

I'm glad you liked it too. The books become very wordy later and the quality of editing drops but by then you are so fixated on the characters it doesn't matter any more!
Peaches for Father Francis is a favourite of mine. have you read the earlier ones as well?

I like 'wordy' so that will be fine. Yes, I've read all Joanne Harris books but a long time ago. This is not serious fiction but it's a little dalliance while I wait for some more 1743 high drama:)

Bette Outlander or Cross Stitch as it's known here in Aus is one of my all time favourite books. So glad you liked it. Does that mean you will read ALL the others in the series now? Must admit I'm up to the sixth one, (there are 7 with the 8th being released in June this year) and Cross Stitch still remains my favourite by far. How gorgeous is Jamie?
I'm working through my review books so have a few on the go. Will finish Ronan's Echo by Joanne van Os today, it was released on Wednesday and a cracking good read. Then I also have TIME SQUARE THE SHIFT on the go, a YA adventure which is coming out in April, enjoying it and wondering where the author S.W. Lothian is going to go with it. I also need to finish Burial Rites for a book discussion next week.So that is pretty much my reading weekend mapped out :)

Oh good, all of these are in Mount TBR somewhere....
Really enjoying my third Maisie Dobbs
, Jacqueline Winspear is really good at portraying England in the 1930's and the post WW1 mood

Jo wrote: "Sally 606 how do you find the time to read so many books At one time? Also years of practice ;)
