Dale Harcombe | 6883 comments Suzanne wrote about Brothers and Sisters: 'Even an autobiographical story about one author who talks about having one child and that its effects are not negative as those who say they are professionals think!'
As one who was an only child I never thought it was a negative experience.

JB Rowley (jbrowley) Dale wrote: "Suzanne wrote about Brothers and Sisters: 'As one who was an only child I never thought it was a negative experience."

Yes. One of my nieces is an only child and she gets fed up with people assuming that hers must have been a 'deprived' childhood. There was never anything negative about it for her.

Bernie Dowling (beedeed) | 57 comments No Rest for the Dead by Jeffrey Deaver No Rest for the Dead
This book is written by 26 eminent mystery writers. I was sceptical of a "progressive" novel but the writing is of a uniformly high standard. (I am up to chapter 12) I guess none of the pros wanted to be shown up by their peers. It was pubbed in 2011

Bernie Dowling (beedeed) | 57 comments Hi Liam,
I have no idea what your flow chart is about.
Cheers
Bernie

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Huh I thought it would allow it to open into a bigger version. Fixed. You should be able to click it to open up the enlarged flowchart.

Basically it's NPR's 100 Best SFF novels and it's set out in a neat flowchart style.

Bernie Dowling (beedeed) | 57 comments Liam, you need to know not everyone speaks Acronym. NPR? SFF?

Sally906 | 87 comments I have finished The Cry Helen Fitzgerald but not done a review yet. Will be a hard review to do as just about anything I say would spoil it!!!

I am now reading a non-fiction book Adventures with the Wife in Space Living With Doctor Who by Neil Perryman Adventures with the Wife in Space: Living With Doctor Who by Neil Perryman I was reading it before, but put it to one side and I don't know why because I am really enjoying it.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) SFF = Science Fiction/Fantasy. Says it on the image in big, friendly letters.

Sally906 | 87 comments We're spending the night in town tonight and the afternoon will be spent reading, chatting, sipping wine and listening to music. I have picked up my new library book Red Queen by Honey Brown plus my two ebooks The January Wish by Juliet Madison and The Opposite of Magic by Colleen Cowley. I think that should last me :)
